Thank You, Julia Marshall
Many of you already know the sad news that Julia Marshall, TACAW’s founding Board Chair, passed away on Sunday, March 12. She was a fierce advocate for the arts, an integral part of making TACAW a reality, and my friend. She will be deeply missed by all of us here at TACAW.
Julia will forever be a part of the TACAW story. She was a member of the original group that founded our nonprofit and served as Board Chair from 2015 to 2022. She designed the landscaping here and always took great pride in the events held in the AlpenGlow Listening Lawn and Amphitheater. She was instrumental in growing our arts education efforts, as engaging kids through the arts was a passion for her. Her numerous contributions to TACAW were recognized when the artist’s green room above the TACAW stage was named the Marshall Green Room as the building opened.
In the near future, we will share other ways to remember, acknowledge, and support Julia’s profound contributions to TACAW. In the meantime, we will watch as the buds appear on the trees and the green shoots start to emerge around our campus. She thoughtfully crafted the gardens here to enhance the audience’s experience for years into the future. Because of this, her last contribution to TACAW is yet to be fully realized. Our trees are still young, and many of the perennials have just fully taken hold. So, the next time you come to TACAW, take a moment to see her passion revealed with the arrival of spring. When you do, think of Julia.
Thank you, Julia. We are all grateful for everything you gave to TACAW.
Sincerely,
Ryan Honey
