Sugary LoFi Pop, Fresh Funk, Heart & Soul + Magic

Need weekend plans? This Friday, March 22, festival favorites Monophonics rock the stage at 400 Robinson with their pure timeless heavy soul and warm textures of psychedelic rock. This excellent performance will be even better with you here. Sunday, March 24, our friends at Thunder River Theatre Company present Toddy Walters “Trying Me on for Size” in their Signature Cabaret Series. Some things are too terrific not to share!

These freshly added April artists each bring music that feels good. Just what Mother Nature ordered as we swing into Spring… Check out these can’t-miss sweet shows, plus a magical summer treat.

JW Francis’ brand of lo-fi, utterly irresistible bedroom dream-pop takes its lead from the city he lives in, with echoes of Jonathan Richman, The Velvet Underground and the lo-fi sound New York has been inspiring for decades. Paul Cherry departs pining for an unrequited love on his debut LP Flavour toward the hunger for creative fulfillment on Back on the Music. “Bouncing off the bottom: this pattern is the problem…”. This is the melancholic opening line of the new album, a meandering meditation on the life of an artist: chasing inspiration, finding community, and the struggle to maintain both. Touring together, these co-headliners promise that April 12 will be an effervescent evening to remember. Tickets here.

The Confluents are Roaring Fork Valley’s premiere funk band and we’re thrilled to welcome them back to party again on April 20! This six-piece group’s mixture of driving pocket rhythms, fat bass, hot brassy licks, and infectious wah-wah guitar is a guaranteed high-energy performance. The Confluents play a wide range of funk, soul, and reggae music, including tunes by The Meters, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Vulfpeck, Bob Marley, and Toots & the Maytals. Get your ticket for an evening of funky fresh fun here.

Thunderstorm Artis is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu who has shared stages with Train, John Legend, Zac Brown, and Jack Johnson. Known widely as a popular finalist on the NBC show “The Voice” (Season 18), he deftly shifts genres from Folk, Rock, Soul, and even Country. He has been known to play songs by David Bowie, The Beatles, Elton John, and Leonard Cohen, mixing in his heartfelt original songwriting to great acclaim. Thunderstorm performs from the heart, a window into his lovely soul. His strong belief is that through music he can make the world a better place and lift the hearts of others. Join us Friday, April 26. Your ticket to that better place awaits.

In July Magician Taylor Hughes takes the TACAW stage with his signature style of hilarious storytelling and mind-blowing magic for the FEEL GOOD MAGIC TOUR. Tickets are on sale now for this spectacularly magical event. Enjoy with or without Supper Club.

Each of these events would be so much more fun with you here! As always, keep your eye on our events calendar. Shows are added all the time, sometimes without warning! Did you catch that we’ve added a free listening party for Pearl Jam’s new album Dark Matter?
