Interplay, New Shows
Hi, everybody. October is off to an eclectic start. Saturday’s Susto show was a great way to kick it off. An added bonus was the enthusiasm of the band’s founder, Justin Osborne, for our net-zero facility. At times I can forget the groundbreaking (pun intended) decisions our leadership made a few years ago. Our eclectic October continues with an exciting collaboration with The Art Base. We have an intimate opera performance at TACAW this Saturday. Attending this show will be a group of visual artists invited by The Art Base. These artists will take inspiration from the evening and create works that will be displayed in a show next April. Art inspiring art. More information HERE. Next Thursday, Colorado Business Committee for the Arts will host an important forum on Arts + Environmental Sustainability. Speakers include Ajax Axe, Olga González, and Mr. Basalt himself, Ryan Honey. Learn more HERE. Next Friday is the return of our annual, and free, Pumpkin Jazz. On Friday from 5-7, four jazz combos will be playing in Willits and Historic Downtown. That will be followed by a special performance by the Ted Piltzecker Septet. Good vibes, for sure. Stick around after the performance for the 2nd annual Pumpkin Jam when all the artists play together. Saturday is another new partnership. Teton Gravity Research screens their new film, Magic Hour. This isn’t your typical stokefest. The ticket price includes a guided whiskey tasting and sweet swag bags. That’s quite a bit, yeah? Still to come in October are events with our partners at Aspen Words and VOICES. And, of course, our Halloween Bash with MarchFourth on 10.29.22. We’ve also added these four events: • 11/04 – Ali McGuirk & KaiL Baxley – Two talented singer/songwriters play solo • 11/11 – Comedian Myq Kaplan – Stand up is back at TACAW • 11/19 – Vince Herman Band – Leftover Salmon frontman’s valley debut of his new solo project • 01/26 – New York Philharmonic String Quartet – New York Phil at TACAW!!! So much to choose from this fall. See you at TACAW soon! |
