Equity Speaker Series Tonight + Workout Tips From Ryan
Hi, everybody.
For those of you who read last week’s email, he asked, “Do you smell carrots, too?” Shout out to Stewart for the cover song recommendation. Here’s hoping Mr. Sexton plays Purple Rain on February 24th.
Tonight is our first Equity Speaker Series event of 2023. Manaus and TACAW are pleased to welcome public health professional Jason Vitello for a meaningful conversation about racism as a public health crisis. There is still time to register for this free event HERE.
There’s a weird vibe in the office right now. Ryan knows I am writing this email. He also knows we have a new show to announce that he is really excited about. He keeps darkening my door with random reasons to chat. Yes, Ryan, I’m bummed the Cowboys lost last week. No, Ryan, it isn’t a good idea to create the First Annual TACAW Canceled Comedians Comedy Festival. Yes, Ryan, I know you were on Conan many times, and the BarrelFlex commercial was hilarious. Alright, that’s it. Before he starts recounting every detail of last week’s Consensual Improv rehearsal, I will yield the keyboard to Ryan to tell you about John McCutcheon on May 6.
Hi, folks. Ryan here. I’ve hijacked this week’s email to tell you about John McCutcheon. John is a long-time family friend and jaw-dropping performer. His shows are intimate, funny, and soul-stirring. He’s regarded as one of the greatest hammered dulcimer players in the world. If you don’t know what a hammered dulcimer is, John will introduce you to it along with numerous other instruments he plays effortlessly. I still think about the time I saw him play a Tibetan singing bowl. Join me and much of my family as we welcome John to TACAW for the first time. Now back to your regularly scheduled email from Kendall.
That’s all for this week. I definitely like it when my boss is happy.
Have a great week, everybody!
