Environmental Jazzy Stōkitude!
Hi, everybody.
How’s your fall going? I’m still abuzz over Saturday’s launch of our opera collaboration with The Art Base, Interplay. At the show, we enjoyed a fantastic assortment of arias and duets to inspire some of the Valley’s best visual artists. I’m looking forward to the gallery opening in April to see how the inspiration took hold.
This week is chock full of more inspiring gatherings with our partners.
Today we host CBCA’s Arts + Environmental Sustainability Forum. Networking begins at 5:00 and the program starts at 5:40. You can still register HERE.
Tomorrow is my fall favorite, Pumpkin Jazz. Enjoy our wealth of valley Jazz talent by checking them out early. From 5 pm-7 pm downtown, you can catch Sparrow on the Alpine Bank Patio, and Mark Johnson at The Art Base. In Willits, You can catch Dustin Lutomski’s trio at Triangle Park and Josefina’s trio at Keating Gallery. From there head to TACAW for the Ted Piltzecker Septet followed by Pumpkin Jam (the session not the food). I really love this Town of Basalt tradition. Thanks to BPAC for the support.
Saturday brings us two of my favorites – adventure film and whiskey. Actually, it is WhiSKI. Teton Gravity Research brings their new film, Magic Hour, to us with an exclusive Tincup Whiskey guided tasting and a sweet gift from Yeti. There are still a few tickets remaining. Get them HERE.
As always, the full calendar is below. Fall and winter programming is heating up, so keep an eye out. See you at TACAW soon!
Best,
Kendall Smith
