Comedy, a Cafe, and a Favor

Comedy, a Cafe, and a Favor

Hi, everybody!

How about this weather! I think I’ve got the latest variant of Spring fever. Things have definitely been picking up around here as we roll into March.

Are we friends, yet? Do we know each other well enough for me to ask a favor? We are working hard to ensure our guests have a positive experience regardless of the type of event we present. The number one thing that helps is knowing how many folks to expect. This enables us to properly staff the venue to reduce times spent in lines and increase time enjoying the programming. So, simply put, when you see an event you’d like to attend, could you buy your tickets early? Pretty please?

Along with this weekend’s side-splitting comedian, Jon Dore, we’ve added a couple of new events. This August we welcome Son Volt. Jay Farrar started this band in 1994 after the break-up of alt country-rock band Uncle Tupelo. Their latest release, Electro Melodier, dropped last July. It contains this earworm that I am loving. This is going to be a good one!

In April we present a very compelling one-man show. Denver-based actor/comedian/author, Adam Cayton-Holland, performs Happy Place. This show is based on his tragi-comic memoir, Tragedy Plus Time, a revelatory, darkly funny, and poignant tribute to a lost sibling.

Don’t forget our new cafe,Tabl, opens on Tuesday. Come enjoy some delicious eats prepared by Allen and Julia Domingos. Those of you who joined us for any of our recent dinners know what I am talking about. Tabl is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday as well as happy hour and dinner on Fridays.

So, yeah, remember that favor I asked? Our calendar has a little bit of everything. Buy early and often. As always, I love to hear from you and no suggestion goes unconsidered.
