Rootbeer Richie, born and raised in Louisiana and uprooted to the Rocky Mountains, changes the energy in any room he enters. He is infectious, his voice is soulful, and his songs quickly become sing-alongs.

Inspired by legends like Fats Domino, Ray Charles, and Sam Cooke, yet approached with a modern feel akin to Leon Bridges and Teddy Swims, Rootbeer Richie pulls from a variety of influences to create his long, tall-drink of soul-infused swamp pop. Rootbeer and his band, The Reveille, quickly gained a reputation as one of the most electric live acts in Denver, CO. As Rootbeer says, “The point of the music is to help you feel whatever it is you need to feel.” Those who’ve been converted, though, know he’s being modest. A Rootbeer Richie live show is like a spiritual awakening where it’s damn near impossible to feel anything other than the unbridled joy of being alive.

Purse Thief was formed in Silver City NM under a dark sky. The 4 piece post-punk-garage-wave band recorded their first album in the wild plains of the Mimbres Valley, set to debut in the winter of 2026. Their sound has caught the attention of artists like Black Joe Lewis and Jonathan Richman with their first single “Modern Lover” hitting top 40 on indie streaming charts. Through their music they give us back the sound of the old underground dance-floors, the feel of radical parties in the back of book stores, the excitement of a stolen zine. Their mix of poetry and Rock’n’Roll has been described as the future of nostalgia. They believe that the purse belongs to the people. That ethos is what comes up when you start to sing.
