Join us for TACAW’s newest way to gather for a fun night, Cinema Dance Party! We start this new series with the remastered 1984 Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense. If you followed the re-release of this film, you know how badly folks wanted to dance in the theater aisles. Well, you can’t have aisles if you don’t have seats in the theater. This is a casual film exhibition for the movers and groovers who want to party.

DJ Honey will provide the soundtrack pre and post film. Expect bangers, galore. We’re cooking up some other suprises and maybe a new cocktail called the “Making Flippy Floppy.”

About Stop Making Sense:

The greatest concert film of all time brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) captures the band at their exhilarating best, in this new and complete restoration for the film’s 40th anniversary.
