A Tabl For You
Hi, everybody!
I have food on my mind, today. It could be that I skipped breakfast this morning. More likely, though, it is our new cafe, Tabl. My office has never smelled better. Epicure is serving a rotating menu for lunch Tuesdays through Fridays, 11:30 – 2:30. They are also serving happy hour on Fridays. Small plates and drink specials are an excellent way to kick off the weekends. This Friday, Frank Todaro is back at the piano in the lobby.
Some important shows to note:
- Saturday, March 12th, Robert Dubac brings us his one-man show, Stand Up Jesus. You don’t want to miss the first coming of Jesus to TACAW. See what I did there?
- Wednesday, March 17th we host night two of the Wild & Scenic Film Festival presented by Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. They have curated a collection of short films around the theme, “Our Food Future.” The ticket also includes delicious food. So, on that night, your food future is NOW.
- Saturday, March 19th, Emmy-nominated comedy writer, Laurie Kilmartin, graces our stage. This is another good one! Apropos of nothing, I miss swimming. Laurie’s lap pool reviews are going to have to tide me over until Basalt Parks and Rec gets our local swimming hole ready.
- April 1st & 2nd will be special evenings. Allan Harris is coming to town with a nine-piece band to perform Cross That River, the story of a runaway slave who becomes a cowboy. This lesser-told story of black settlers of the west is filled with excellent songwriting and great storytelling.
I’ll keep an eye out for you, here!
