ABOUT JES GREW WITH THE BROCCOLI BROS HORNS

Genre: Funk / SOUL / ROCK

FACEBOOK

“Symptoms of jes’ grew include: mediocrity intolerance, chronic questioning of authority, and uncontrollable shaking of the hips and ass.”
— Ishmael Reed, Mumbo Jumbo (1972)

There’s something funky going around… and it’s called JES GREW!
Since 1998, Aspen’s own Jes Grew has been spreading its infectious blend of funk, soul, rock & roll, and downright dance floor madness throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Fueled by soulful vocals, greasy grooves, blazing guitars, and the mighty Broccoli Bros. Horns, this eight-piece musical collective has been making hips shake and booties move for nearly three decades.

This New Year’s Eve, Jes Grew brings the funk for a very special show at TACAW in Basalt for a full-blown celebration to ring in 2027. Bring your dancing shoes, leave your inhibitions at the door, and prepare to catch a serious case of JES GREW!

Jes Grew: Randolph Turner (Guitar/Vocals), Cameron Williams (Guitar/Vocals), Rob “Monkey” Dasaro (Keys/Vocals), Steven “Vidi” Vidamour (Bass), Toby Britt (Drums).

Broccoli Bros. Horns: Kriss Harmony (Saxophone/Vocals), Ben Yaeger (Trumpet/Vocals), Mark Yaeger (Trombone/Vocals).
