New Events + Missing Julia
Hi, everybody.
It’s been a bit since I’ve reached out. We are all still stunned at the sudden passing of our Founding Board Chair, Julia Marshall. Such a tremendous loss for all of the Roaring Fork Valley. I, like many others, am a better person having known her.
We are a little slow around here during spring break. Our duck-like calm appearance above the surface belies the furious paddling the team is doing out of sight.
We’ve added a few more events, with many more yet to announce.
- April 6 – Water in the West in a Time of Climate Chaos – Please note this is a daytime program. Our friends at the local nonprofit, EcoFlight, conclude their annual College Student Program with presentations about their experience. Other guest speakers include Pete McBride and Auden Schendler.
- May 2 – Roaring Fork Valley State of the Arts Symposium – Also a daytime event. Amy Kimberly and the crew at Carbondale Arts are putting together a compelling day to bring our creative ecosystem together.
- May 17 – Equity Speaker Series ft. Full Circle Strategies – Join our partners at Manaus for another impactful discussion.
- June 16 – The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra – How about some Big Band sounds at TACAW!?! This evening also has an optional pre-show dinner opportunity in the lobby with Epicure.
Plenty more good stuff is coming. Including Blues, Salsa, International Jazz Day Celebrations on April 30, and so much more. Stay tuned!
