If you followed the re-release of this film\, you know how badly folks wanted to dance in the theater aisles. Well\, you can’t have aisles if you don’t have seats in the theater. This is a casual film exhibition for the movers and groovers who want to party. \n\n\n\nDJ Honey will provide the soundtrack pre and post film. Expect bangers\, galore. We’re cooking up some other suprises and maybe a new cocktail called the “Making Flippy Floppy.” \n\n\n\nAbout Stop Making Sense: \n\n\n\nThe greatest concert film of all time brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne\, Tina Weymouth\, Chris Frantz\, and Jerry Harrison\, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) captures the band at their exhilarating best\, in this new and complete restoration for the film’s 40th anniversary. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

At 25 years old\, Yonder Mountain String Band continues to exist at the forefront of the progressive bluegrass scene as undeniable innovators and pioneers of the modern jamgrass movement. Blending bluegrass with elements of rock\, alternative\, psychedelic and improvisational music\, Yonder Mountain String Band brought their high-energy acoustic sound and light show into rock n’ roll settings with tremendous success\, proving it was possible for a bluegrass band to not only exist but excel in a rock world\, without drums. The inroads they made created opportunities for like-minded acoustic bands to perform at festivals\, rock clubs\, theaters and stadiums previously considered off-limits for string bands. Yonder Mountain’s high-energy sound\, compelling original music and anything goes attitude cultivated a spirit of collaborative improvisation that continues to fuel today’s progressive bluegrass and jamgrass scenes. It is a testament to the legacy of Yonder Mountain String Band that their original songs and unique interpretations of covers are regularly performed by next generation bands in the scene. \n\n\n\nYonder Mountain String Band celebrates their quarter century mark with a Grammy Nomination for their 2022 release Get Yourself Outside. Band members Adam Aijala (guitar\, vocals)\, Ben Kaufmann (bass\, vocals)\, Dave Johnston (banjo\, vocals) and Nick Piccininni (mandolin\, banjo\, fiddle\, vocals) co-wrote all tracks on the album over zoom sessions when Covid shut down the music touring industry. Yonder Mountain was recently honored with an induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame alongside friends and legends Leftover Salmon\, Hot Rize\, The String Cheese Incident and The Fox Theater (where they played their very first show as a band in1998). Yonder Mountain was officially inducted during a long-awaited\, but meaningful ceremony that took place on stage after their set at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s 50th anniversary this past June. \n\n\n\nLearn more about Yonder Mountain String Band: Website / Facebook / Instagram / Twitter / Apple Music or Spotify. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nStanding Show / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

Students improve their Shakespeare literacy AND learn safe and effective intervention strategies they can use when they see mistreatment happening around them. This tour season\, the middle and high school play is a 45-minute Romeo & Juliet. Star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet strive for connection in a bitterly divided community. Verona’s youth are forced to bear the burden of their parents’ ancient grudge\, an ultimately tragic testimony that “violent delights have violent ends.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE WITH RSVP\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open @ 6:00 PM / Show @ 7:00 PM\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / This educational offering is appropriate for youth and adults\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

DESCRIPTION:KT Tunstall\n\n\n\nOPENER: LVDY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\n$45 MEMBERS / $50 ADVANCE / $60 DAY OF \n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT / JOIN THE WAITLIST\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUnderwritten by \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT KT Tunstall\n\n\n\nKT Tunstall burst onto the music scene with her 2004 multi-platinum debut\, Eye to the Telescope\, which spawned the global hits “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See.” These songs established Tunstall as a captivating\, must-see performer\, as well as a Songwriter with a singular knack for balancing introspective folk and propulsive rock. \n\n\n\n“I feel there are two immediate\, recognizable pillars of my style\,” she says. “I have this troubadour\, acoustic guitar-driven emotional side. Then there’s definitely a rocker side of me with sharper teeth.” \n\n\n\nIn the last few years\, the Grammy-nominated Scottish Musician has expanded on these musical selves by focusing on a trilogy of records\, where each album zeroes in on a single concept: soul\, body and mind. The first\, 2016’s KIN\, was the soul record; 2018’s WAX was the body record\, and the new NUT is the mind record. Produced by Martin Terefe\, who co-wrote her 2005 global hit “Other Side of the World\,” NUT draws on Tunstall’s love of percussive West African grooves as a metaphor for the learning patterns of the mind\, and is an eclectic album that seamlessly weaves together disparate styles. She found her writing mojo thanks to “Canyons\,” a song propelled by a grimy\, heavy rock riff. In keeping with NUT’s theme\, the song’s lyrics are about the canyon-like physiology of the brain\,and explore the parallels between humans developing unique identities and the way nature evolves and is shaped over time. Elsewhere\, NUT’s lyrics and sound delve into KT’s own personal evolution\, and the way we all evolve through the repetition of behaviors and our reactions to life experiences. “Private Eyes” grew out of Tunstall’s brush with the vampiric downside of fame\, while “Three\,” summarizes the arc of the trilogy\, inspired by a journal practice where she would write multiple entries on one topic from the different perspectives of mind\, body and soul. \n\n\n\n“It was necessary in the circumstances to make NUT completely differently from any other record I’ve made\,” Tunstall says. “But I was excited and ready for that. The reason I pursued music was because I had to avoid a repetitive job. I need to feel a constant sense of exploration in life. I realized you can easily fall into repetition even in this job. And so for NUT\, I was like\, ‘Come on\, let’s do what we said we were going to do. Let’s push into something new.’ What’s always most important is making an exciting\, meaningful record that I love\, and to have fun while I’m doing it.” \n\n\n\nLearn more: Website / Facebook / Instagram / Spotify / YouTube \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT / JOIN THE WAITLST\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOPENER: LVDY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLVDY (pronounced LADY) is a Colorado-based duo comprised of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable. Their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling is a delightful recipe of singer-songwriter\, indie-folk\, with powerful melodies and harmonies that speak to the senses. Love anthems weave in and out of their messages\, with simple yet important reminders that we’re not alone. \n\n\n\nTheir ethereal harmonies\, musical warmth and meaningful lyrics find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors. Aubrey and Kathleen met in 2012 while studying abroad in Dunedin\, New Zealand and almost instantly became the best of friends. They bonded over their dreams of traveling the world sharing their music and began playing together in their chilly NZ flats. When they returned to the States\, they played on front porches of college houses as well as in the welcoming homes of friends and family. What began as late-night kitchen and living room jam sessions\, open mics and groovy covers turned into an outpouring of original tunes and the official birth of LVDY. Their next EP\, Feathers\, is set to release on February 23\, 2024 and showcases their most dynamic and mature sound yet. \n\n\n\n“Mable’s warm rasp complements Hooper’s bright and clear vocals. With an acoustic guitar\, the occasional tambourine and their harmonies\, LVDY makes honest music enveloped in positive vibes to fill those sunny Colorado afternoons.” – 303 Magazine \n\n\n\nLearn more: Facebook / Instagram / Spotify / YouTube \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSeated Show | All Ages\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

Well crafted songs and records are matched by an energetic live performance. A heavenly signature style: Pure timeless heavy soul and warm textures of psychedelic rock. This is a band that revels in the past\, taking you back to the stylings of the late 60s and early 70s\, while always keeping its feet positioned in the present\, looking ahead to the future. \n\n\n\nFront man\, vocalist & keyboardist Kelly Finnigan always leads with power. The renowned rhythm section starts with drummer Austin Bohlman along with Max Ramey on Bass and Aquilles Magaña on guitar. A dynamic horn section led by Ryan Scott on Trumpet with Jason Cressey playing Trombone always elevates the show & sound. This core group drips in cosmic fashion. \n\n\n\nAs a touring band\, Monophonics has taken their act to dozens of countries\, selling out venues all over the states\, UK & Europe including London\, NYC\, Athens\, LA\, Istanbul\, San Francisco\, Amsterdam & Paris. Known for putting on an infectious performance which places their intimate songwriting and soulful musicianship on full display. Its the kind of concert that delivers gifts to the mind\, body and soul of every crowd in each city they travel to. Monophonics brings a musical experience that is unforgettable\, which has earned the group a global fanbase and loyal following. \n\n\n\nSage Motel\, Monophonics’ fifth studio album released in 2022 on Colemine Records\, once again captures the bands timeless psychedelic soul sound that they are known to produce. Met with an outstanding reception including nods from NPR Music\, KCRW\, BBC and Shindig\, the record has thrived in multiple scenes. Since it’s release\, ‘Sage Motel’ has found its way to millions of listeners online and seen thousands of records distributed and sold in record shops around the world. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupport: Kendra Morris\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere’s something undeniably out-of-time about both Kendra Morris and her indelibly cool new album I Am What I’m Waiting For (Karma Chief Records). It combines rough-hewn powerhouse vocals with arrangements that betray both an extensive record collection and a whimsical instinct for joyous noises — think Dusty Springfield fronting Spoon circa Kill The Moonlight or a 60s girl group creative directed by Nick Lowe and PeeWee Herman. It’s vibrant and varied and packed with personality. \n\n\n\n\n\n“How do you put yourself into a record? Torbitt and I wanted to make it feel like you cracked open the ooze in my head\,” Morris says\, referring to her co-writer and producer Torbitt Schwartz AKA Little Shalimar (Run The Jewels). Morris is an accomplished visual artist and stop-motion animator\, so it’s appropriate that I Am What I’m Waiting For takes a collagist approach\, mischievously recombining all sorts of rock and roll ingredients — the sass and swagger of Ronnie Spector\, the more acid-fried corners of the Nuggets compilations\, post-modern interpolations of mid-century exotica music\, the cracking snares and sugary urbanity of ESG — while offering moments of vulnerable insight from a life spent in pursuit of creativity. \n\n\n\nMorris was a musically precocious child and\, after playing in Florida bar bands\, moved to New York to chase the dream. Thus began a formative 13-year stint bartending at the beloved Lower East Side dive The Library\, which thrust Morris directly into the heart of Manhattan’s fertile post-Strokes creative scene. Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe lived upstairs\, music journalist Marc Spitz was a regular\, and touring acts would come through to carouse after playing Bowery Ballroom. During those moments\, Morris yearned to join the rarefied air of the musicians on the other side of the bar. \n\n\n\nAll the while\, Morris pursued her music dreams. “It was pure\, 100% DIY. I never took no for an answer. If I didn’t have the money\, I figured out how to make it happen: Videos\, artwork\, whatever.” After the dissolution of her first band\, she recorded 8-track demos and performed solo shows backed by cassette recordings of her own vocal harmonies. Through these shows she connected with longtime producer Jeremy Page. It was kismet. \n\n\n\n“I worked with Jeremy for the next 10-plus years\,” says Morris. “We worked together through some of the most beautiful and hardest life things I’ve ever gone through.” It was a fruitful partnership: Morris signed to Wax Poetics for the release of her “seductive\, soulful” (Rolling Stone) 2012 debut Banshee and 2013’s Mockingbird\, self-released her 2016 EP Babble (reissued earlier this year)\, and signed to Karma Chief for 2022’s “beautifully sung” (MOJO) Nine Lives. She’s linked up with a murderer’s row of collaborators\, including DJ Premier\, MF Doom\, Ghostface Killah\, and David Sitek. Interview Magazine called her “a modern day Janis Joplin\,” and NPR praised her “lush\, moody mix of neo-soul.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits
