Often compared to Lewis Black or Bill Hicks due to his passionate\, ranting approach\, Roy has a style that is definitively his own.  \n\n\n\nRoy cut his comedic teeth in Denver at the world famous Comedy Works. Since then\, he has been selected to perform at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival\, Just For Laughs Toronto\, Just For Laughs Chicago\, The New York Comedy Festival\, Austin’s South by Southwest festival\, and many more. Roy has been featured on HBO’s Funny as Hell series; as well as on the Comedy Central shows Adam DeVine’s House Party\, Corporate\, @midnight\, and This Is Not Happening. Ben has also released four stand-up comedy albums and was listed as one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch. In 2023 his first streaming stand up special\, “HYENA”\, was released on YouTube by 800LB Gorilla Media. \n\n\n\nAlong with fellow Denver Comedians Adam Cayton-Holland and Andrew Orvedahl (who collectively perform as The Grawlix)\, Ben created\, wrote\, and starred in TruTV’s original comedy series Those Who Can’t\, which now has all three seasons available for streaming on HBOMax. Making a name for herself by sharing the heart-wrenching and hilariously raw realities of being a woman with a disability. Christie has been featured on Viceland’s\, Flophouse; Hidden America with Jonah Ray; Laughs on Fox; First Look on NBC\, and of course\, LMAO on Only Fans TV. Christie has performed on Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington\, Denver’s own High Plains Comedy Festival and 208 in Boise. She starred in and wrote for the Project DU film Scary Lucy which has won multiple awards at film festivals around the country. As Director of Stand-Up at Rise Comedy Theater in Denver Colorado\, Christie empowers young comics to hit the stage running and tell their stories with confidence.  \n\n\n\nChristie has been described as “Brave” for leaving the house in that body\, Christie’s comedy has been described as “funny despite what she talks about…” and “Uncomfortable..” by Christie’s mom. Originally from South Carolina\, and then after a 5-year stint in Nashville TN\, Welch now calls Colorado home. \n\n\n\nPrior to a now mainly solo career\, he formed the duo “Rosewood Divine” with his wife Ali. Consisting of original songs and collaboration\, they released a self-titled album in 2012. \n\n\n\nNow performing in and around the Aspen valley\, he’s become a local favorite and go to for his easy listening style of originals and covers. A frequent flier of favorite local hot spots\, you’re bound to hear a classic cover that catches your attention\, followed by an original from a former Nashville aspiring songwriter. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. Since their earliest days as a forward thinking\, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound\, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene\, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play\, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly\, unique style. \n\n\n\nIn their fourth decade as a band\, Leftover Salmon is showing no signs of slowing down\, continuing to create new music in the studio\, including the most recent release Brand New Good Old Days (Compass Records 2021). The latest album shows that Leftover Salmon is still proving it possible to recreate themselves without changing who they are. The band now features a lineup that has been together longer than any other in Salmon history and is one of the strongest the legendary band has ever assembled. Built around the core of founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman\, the band is now powered by banjo-wiz Andy Thorn\, and driven by the steady rhythm section of bassist Greg Garrison\, drummer Alwyn Robinson\, and dobro player & keyboardist Jay Starling. The current lineup is continuing the long\, storied history of Salmon which found them first emerging from the progressive bluegrass world and coming of age as one the original jam bands\, before rising to become architects of what has become known as Jamgrass and helping to create a landscape where bands schooled in the traditional rules of bluegrass can break free of those bonds through nontraditional instrumentation and an innate ability to push songs in new psychedelic directions live. Salmon is a band who for more than thirty years has never stood still; they are constantly changing\, evolving\, and inspiring.
