FULL CIRCLE follows Trevor on a path toward post-traumatic growth in parallel with Barry\, 50 years later. Their stories mirror each other\, connected through time and space by common locations and motifs; injuries in the Colorado backcountry\, rehab at Craig Hospital\, fame in Jackson Hole; but also through their shared resiliency and refusal to let their zeal for life be limited by their injuries. Barry shows that growth after spinal cord injury is possible for everyone\, not just adaptive athletes. And yet his legacy paves the way for Trevor’s superhuman feats. Six years after his accident\, Trevor returns to the site of his accident in the Colorado backcountry with the goal of landing the world’s first double backflip on a sit-ski- the culmination of his own personal growth and reinvention. \n\n\n\nThe film will be followed by a Q & A with Trevor Kennison. \n\n\n\nLearn more about 5POINT: Website\, Facebook\, Instagram\, or Vimeo. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open for show @ 6:30pm / Show @ 7:30pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW | ALL AGES\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

SUMMARY:What the Hell Happened to Blood Sweat & Tears?
DESCRIPTION:What the Hell Happened to Blood Sweat & Tears?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$17 MEMBER / $20 ADVANCE / $25 DAY OF \n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT What the Hell Happened to Blood Sweat & Tears? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenre: Cinema \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn June 1970\, hot off their spectacular Grammy® win for Album of the Year (besting The Beatles’ “Abbey Road”)\, Blood\, Sweat & Tears becomes the first American rock band to perform behind the Iron Curtain\, doing concerts in Yugoslavia\, Romania and Poland on a tour sponsored by the U.S. State Department. \n\n\n\nLike much of the youth in America\, band members have been outspoken and critical of the Nixon administration and the Vietnam War. The Iron Curtain Tour seems to be a curious decision by the band\, which was at the very height of their popularity. \n\n\n\nUpon their return\, the band becomes a victim of the significant societal upheaval and culture wars in a polarized America\, divided as much then as it is now. Political criticism typically comes from one side or the other. But in 1970\, Blood\, Sweat & Tears find themselves in the crossfire from both the Right AND the Left and the group suffers greatly as a result. Suddenly\, they are no longer hip and cool and lose support from fans\, the media\, concert bookers and the recording industry. \n\n\n\nIn short\, the Right is outraged by the U.S. government footing the bill for an anti-war/anti-Nixon rock band to tour overseas and refer to Blood\, Sweat & Tears members as “Communists”. The Left is critical of the band for appearing to be an instrument of the U.S. government and/or the CIA. \n\n\n\nThrough documentary footage shot during the Iron Curtain tour (and thought to be lost) and present-day interviews with band members and historians\, as well as the unsealing of government records\, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO BLOOD\, SWEAT & TEARS? unravels the details of this extraordinary year in the life of the band.  \n\n\n\nLearn more about What the Hell Happened to Blood Sweat & Tears?: Website / YouTube \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n TICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open for show @ 7:00pm / Show @ 8:00pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW | ALL AGES\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

Also\, there are two vocalists\, one male and one female\, who perform individually and as part of The Moonlight Serenaders® vocal group. The “Road Book” carried by the Glenn Miller Orchestra adds up to over 300 charts-many of them out of the original library. Today\, the complete library totals over 1\,700 compositions including all of the original charts from both the civilian band and the Army Air Force Band. \n\n\n\nThe Glenn Miller Orchestra has always been very musical\, disciplined\, and visually entertaining. And it has its own distinctive “sound.” That sound is created by the clarinet holding the melodic line\, doubled or coupled with the tenor sax playing the same notes; and the harmonies produced by three other saxophones\, while growling trombones and wailing trumpets add their oo-ahs. \n\n\n\nGlenn Miller and His Orchestra made a big impact right before and during the war. And it had more hit records in one year than anybody in the history of the recording industry. In fact\, its recording of Chattanooga Choo-Choo earned the first Gold Record ever awarded to a performing artist. Additional Gold Record recordings include “In the Digital Mood” and “In The Christmas Mood\,” Volume I & II. Back in the days of the big band era of the forties\, any dance band “worth its salt” had a distinctive theme song. It was the musical signature with which they signed on and signed off at their engagements and radio broadcasts. The theme of Glenn Miller and His Orchestra was the beautiful Moonlight Serenade\, and it is still the signature tune of the Glenn Miller Orchestra today. Interestingly enough\, Glenn Miller originally wrote the music of the song himself as an exercise for a course in arranging. He composed it long before he organized his band\, when he was a trombonist and arranger with Ray Noble’s famous band. \n\n\n\nToday\, it is considered a standard in the field of popular music with its popularity as an instrumental continuing undiminished through the years. Glenn Miller disappeared on December 15\, 1944. The bandleader went down over the English Channel on a flight from London to Paris at the height of his popularity. In September 1942\, just prior to going into the army\, he disbanded his famous orchestra and eventually formed the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band to entertain the servicemen. Not long before he enlisted\, he nosed out Tommy Dorsey\, the “Best Sweet Band” in the Downbeat poll. His recordings of In The Mood\, Chattanooga Choo Choo\, A String of Pearls\, Moonlight Serenade\, and Tuxedo Junction were all major hit records. Miller played to sell-out crowds\, and his music constantly dominated the airwaves. On December 15\, Major Miller took off in an ancient\, single-engine plane to precede his band to Paris. The weather was foreboding. Not very confident\, he said to the pilot\, “Maybe we ought to call this off?” The flight officer ribbed him about his fear of flying\, “Do you want to live forever?” \n\n\n\nNow\, over sixty years since the public first embraced the successful Miller Sound\, both the legend and the music live on. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is the most sought-after big band in the world today for both concert and dance engagements. Still considered the greatest band of all time\, its unique sound is loved by almost anybody that cares for dance music. The Miller Estate formed the present Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1956 following strong popular demand aroused as a result of the successful motion picture\, an immense box office smash – The Glenn Miller Story\, starring James Stewart and June Allyson. The band has been touring consistently since\, playing an average of 300 live dates a year around the globe to millions of fans. \n\n\n\nLearn more about The Glenn Miller Orchestra: Website / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / Spotify \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSUPPER CLUB & SHOW TICKETS – SOLD OUT\n\n\n\nSHOW ONLY TICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open for Supper Club @ 5:45pm / Supper Club served at 6:00pm\n\n\n\nDoors open for show @ 7:30pm / Show @ 8:00pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

SUMMARY:Grupo Fantasma
DESCRIPTION:Grupo Fantasma\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00PM / DOORS @ 7:00PM \n\n\n\n$15 MEMBER / $20 ADVANCE / $25 DAY OF \n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW | AGES: 18+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT Grupo Fantasma \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe nine-piece collective formed in 2000 in Austin\, Texas consists of Jose Galeano (timbales\, vocals)\, Kino Esparza (vocals\, hand percussion)\, Beto Martinez (guitar)\, Greg Gonzalez (bass)\, John Speice (drums)\, Matthew “Sweet Lou” Holmes (congas)\, Gilbert Elorreaga (trumpet)\, Josh Levy (baritone saxophone) and Mark “Speedy” Gonzales (trombone). \n\n\n\nGrupo Fantasma has been praised as one of the most important independent acts in the Latin genre and has continually defied expectations to create one of the most unique musical voices to come out of the United States in the 21st century. In 2011\, they garnered further acclaim by winning a Grammy (their second such nomination) for their self–produced release El Existential on Nat Geo Music which the Wall Street Journal called “Latin music both new and traditional…vibrant fusions that transcend easy classification.” \n\n\n\nThe band’s incendiary live show\, declared by NPR as “seamless whenever and wherever they’re on stage” has brought the band to major festivals and venues internationally including Bonnaroo\, Austin City Limits\, North Sea Jazz Festival (Curacao and Rotterdam) and Lowlands in the Netherlands\, Kennedy Center\, London’s O2 Arena\, Montreal Jazz Festival\, WOMEX\, WOMAD\, Tempo Latino (France) as well as two tours to Kuwait and Iraq to entertain US troops and a recent tour in Pakistan and Qatar. Their diverse spectrum of devoted fans speaks to the ensemble’s universal appeal beyond just Latin or world music. \n\n\n\nIn addition\, they have served as the backing band for and collaborated on several occasions with the late\, great\, legendary Prince (ALMA Awards on ABC\, Golden Globes\, CBS Super Bowl Bash\, 21 Nights in London)\, Fania All–Stars pianist Larry Harlow\, Sheila–E\, GZA of Wu–Tang Clan\, Maceo Parker\, Curt Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets\, Ruben Ramos\, GZA of the Wu–Tang Clan\, cult–hero Daniel Johnston\, indie rock standouts Spoon\, Los Lobos and many others. In 2015 and 2016 they continued to tour the globe with club and festival dates in support of their 6th studio release\, Problemas (Blue Corn Music)\, produced by Multi–Grammy award winner Steve Berlin of Los Lobos and released in late 2015.  \n\n\n\nTheir seventh full-length album American Music Vol. VII was released in March 2019 on Blue Corn Music. The very title of the record takes on definitions of identity\, borders and who is illegal or “other.” In presenting their unique multi-ethnic musical mix to audiences over the years\, Grupo were constantly challenged by “the concept of identity\, citizenship\, and the nationality of music\,” especially in the press and music industry. Yet\, as they attest\, in many ways “music is the ultimate assimilator\, crossing borders and cultures and mutating to represent the experiences of its performers.”   \n\n\n\n“We maintain that regardless of language\, our music is ‘American Music’ because we are from here. Our music is a product of our circumstances and we can still celebrate ethnic and cultural heritage while asserting our identity as Americans and sons of this country.” \n\n\n\nThe band has appeared on the nationally syndicated PBS show Austin City Limits 3 times (2016\, 2014\, 2007)\, and their music has been featured in a variety of films and TV shows including Breaking Bad (AMC)\, Weeds (Showtime)\, Frankie & Grace (Netflix)\, Law & Order (NBC) as well as the John Sayles’ film Casa de los Babies. \n\n\n\nLearn more: Website / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / Spotify \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open for show @ 7:00pm / Show @ 8:00pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW | AGES: 18+\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW
