SUMMARY:Brett Dennen - Lift Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:Brett Dennen – Lift Series 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 PM / DOORS @ 7:00 PM \n\n\n\n$35 MEMBER / $40 ADVANCE / $50 DAY OF \n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 18+ VALID PHOTO ID REQUIRED \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINALLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser \n\n\n\nUNDERWRITTEN BY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT BRETT DENNEN – LIFT SERIES 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenre: SINGER/SONGWRITER \n\n\n\nWEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY / APPLE MUSIC \n\n\n\nAcross his career\, Brett Dennen has established himself as the kind of singer-songwriter who finds inspiration by digging into the nooks and crannies of the human condition—exploring pain\, joy\, sadness\, and all points in between. If It Takes Forever (Mick Music)\, the California native’s eighth solo album and first full-length since 2021’s See the World\, is no exception. The warm\, immersive collection boasts deeply felt sentiments\, underpinned by rich acoustic guitars and Dennen’s earnest vocals\, in the vein of dusky Americana (“Golden State of Mind”)\, harmonica-driven blues (the Tom Petty-esque “Careful What You Wish For”)\, rootsy indie (“Don’t Go Talking”)\, and meditative folk-rock (highlight “Time To Wake Up”). \n\n\n\nIf It Takes Forever emerged out of a tough 2023 for Dennen\, as he was dealing with the death of his dad. “He was such a strong figure in my life that I depended on so much as both a dad and a best friend\,” he said. “And I knew immediately in order for me to deal with his death\, the best thing I could do was to make an album about it.” \n\n\n\nUnderstandably\, Dennen took his time coming up with song ideas for If It Takes Forever\, and spent the bulk of a year simply thinking about “what kind of album I was going to make and what kinds of songs were going to be on the album\,” he says. “I jotted down ideas on paper\, made little voice memos with ideas of songs\, melodies and choruses\, or sometimes even just talked into a voice recorder.”  \n\n\n\nWith these ideas as a foundation\, Dennen was well-prepared by the time he hunkered down in late 2023 to formalize his rough ideas into songs. “Making them a reality all happened very fast\,” he says. “These songs were in my head and came out when I had the guitar in my hand. I would record one\, put it away and then come back a few days or a few weeks later and listen to it: ‘Okay\, I think that’s done. That’s good enough. Move on\, move on\, move on.’” \n\n\n\nDennen naturally wrote some songs directly about his dad. But he also wanted If It Takes Forever to tackle his new reality going forward. “It was evaluating life—like\, what did this person mean to me?” he says. “What did they inspire in me? What do I think life is about now? Who’s the person I really want to be?” But he also found himself turning to broader philosophical questions. “I was also thinking about the state of life: What is life? What does it mean? What’s it all about?”  \n\n\n\nThis lent itself to lyrics full of vibrant imagery with multiple layers of meaning. Among his favorite songs is the gentle\, folksy “In the Garden\,” which was indirectly inspired by his parents and the impressive vegetable garden they tended. “I don’t necessarily think it’s a song about my dad—or a song about him speaking to my mom\, per se—but I think it’s a song about love and putting your intention into something\,” Dennen explains. “Metaphorically\, it’s about taking care of something and creating something beautiful\, but it’s also a literal place for beautiful things to grow\, and a calm place to find solace in.” \n\n\n\nAnother favorite is “Wood Canoe\,” a narrative-driven story of humble man who has a knack for building a canoe out of wood\, with lyrics speaking to the idea of metaphorically taking somebody away to a better place\, he explains. “It feels like a Cat Stevens song and has a little bit of Latin rhythm to it.” Dennen also loves “Another Day in Babylon” because of its rumbling groove—and the fact it’s very literal\, as he based the lyrics on things that happened in his own life. \n\n\n\nThe easygoing opening track\, “Chipping Away\,” meanwhile\, touches on resilience and the importance of persevering even when things might not be falling into place the way you’d like. “There’s so many things I want to do and so many things I haven’t done—and I’m the one holding myself back from doing those things\,” he explains. “But that’s just life\, I guess—and here’s an opportunity to celebrate that.” \n\n\n\nDennen recorded If It Takes Forever quickly\, “in a whirlwind five days” in Los Angeles with the musicians in his live band and another long-time collaborator serving as producer\, Jon Solo. This full-band configuration gave the album a distinct feeling of immediacy but also lends itself to depth-filled arrangements. Organ courses through the standout “Dharma Baby” while plaintive piano adds sharp melancholy to the meditative “Star Surfer.”  \n\n\n\n“We haven’t recorded an album together before now\,” he notes. “But it was easy to trust everyone and get excited about what we were creating together. We felt like a team; I’ve never had that feeling before. That’s why I think it was easy to get so much done in a short amount of time.”  \n\n\n\nIn general\, Dennen prefers recording live with a band anyway. But the bond he had formed with his bandmates across years of traveling around together on the road made the If It Takes Forever experience especially seamless—namely because everyone contributed parts and ideas in the studio during the process.“I was really impressed with everybody’s ability to help me get to a place where I was feeling good about the direction it was going\,’ he says. “It wasn’t me or the producer saying\, ‘I want you to do this. I was hoping you would do this.’ It wasn’t like ‘This is Brett’s album’—it was like\, let’s just make this music the best that the four of us can make it.” \n\n\n\nSince debuting in 2004 with a self-titled album\, Dennen has amassed a loyal fanbase thanks to a steady touring schedule\, including alongside artists like John Mayer\, Jason Mraz and G Love and Special Sauce\, as well as multiple song placements in the TV show Parenthood. Another tune\, “Comeback Kid (That’s My Dog)\,” became the theme song for the TV adaptation About A Boy. Along the way\, Dennen has also had multiple top 10 hits on the AAA radio charts\, with the keening title track of See the World\, an encouraging song about growing up and forging your own path in life\, landing at No. 4 in 2021. \n\n\n\nWith If It Takes Forever\, Dennen plans to hit the road once again\, but he possesses additional perspective on—and gratitude for—the solace provided by art and music. “To really boil it down\, this is life\,” he says. “Life is full of things that get complicated and make you busy\, and are really hard to deal with. But if you write songs about it\, and put it into art\, then it makes it a lot more relevant and meaningful and worthy of celebration.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 18+ VALID PHOTO ID REQUIRED\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Recorded with co-producers Greg Holden and Tim Bluhm\, the collection is as diverse and enthralling as the California landscape itself—at times carefree and breezy\, at times wild and rugged—with lush\, organic arrangements full of rich vocal harmonies and driving guitar\, fiddle\, banjo\, mandolin\, and upright bass. While the record marks the group’s first release with newest member Addie Levy\, the result is quintessential Brothers Comatose: a warm\, joyful reflection on identity and the ties that bind from a band that knows exactly who they are (and exactly where they come from). \n\n\n\nFounded by Ben and Alex Morrison in 2008\, The Brothers Comatose first emerged from San Francisco with their 2010 debut\, Songs From The Stoop\, which helped earn dates with the likes of Gillian Welch & David Rawlings\, Greensky Bluegrass\, and Trampled By Turtles. In the decade-and-a-half that followed\, the critically acclaimed quintet would go on to release five more full-length LPs\, rack up nearly 50 million streams\, land festival slots at Outside Lands\, High Sierra\, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass\, tour with Lake Street Dive\, The Devil Makes Three\, and Yonder Mountain String Band\, and build up a devoted following thanks to their raucous live shows and relentless schedule. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT NATALIE SPEARS\n\n\n\nWEBSITE / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s the quiet awe of wild places that most animates Natalie Spears’ music. Outside her home in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley\, she listens to the language of birds\, notices patterns of migration and sees the cosmos in the countryside. For Spears\, the natural world offers a constant invitation to open the aperture of life to something wider\, something wilder. Her most recent album\, “ Hymn of Wild Things\,” chronicles her experience of wonder\, loss and metamorphosis. This is a collection of songs about the intimate corners of humanity\, hers and ours alike.  \n\n\n\nSpears grew up in a home brimming with music. Her dad would sit at the piano playing Chopin\, singing rugby songs\, scatting Louis Armstrong ballads and reciting whimsical folk songs from his childhood days in Britain’s East Midlands. Spears started on piano and by fifth grade was lugging an upright bass to school\, followed by saxophone and drums. When she moved to Colorado in her early twenties\, Spears discovered clawhammer banjo from a co-worker while building straw-bale houses. Old-time Appalachian music is a communal activity\, a perfect match for the tight-knit\, community spirit of mountain town living. She added banjo to her quiver of instruments and started writing songs.   \n\n\n\nThe title track is an autumnal evensong honoring the Sandhill Cranes that migrate through her home in the rocky mountains. The track is grounded by a hypnotic pulse created by sampling and manipulating field recordings of early morning cranes that Spears collected at a reservoir near her home. “Orchard of Dreams\,” is a journey-song about transforming eternal self-doubt into fruits of hope. “Risk It All” is a flirtatious 1930’s jazz-inspired number about a Louisiana dance floor romance featuring piano\, bass\, drums and a trumpet section\, all recorded in New Orleans.  \n\n\n\nThe album is anchored by a song cycle about the loss of her father\, which she sings with clarity and tenderness. “He Still Knows” is a reckoning with the onset of her dad’s Alzheimers. Spears writes about his world becoming a gossamer collage and the disorientation that comes with memory loss. With swirling reverse guitar hooks\, the production captures the feeling of time bending and life feeling upended. Similarly\, “How Far” was written during a later wave of grief\, a post-loss ode to all the irrational things you would do to make someone you love come back to life. “To Know The Dark\,” sets a Wendell Berry poem to music\, a song she has long sung in community. It’s a piece about holding hands with both darkness and light\, a candlelight at the end of a triptych of grief songs. \n\n\n\nThe album was produced and recorded by Juno-winning musician Jayme Stone who also plays guitar\, synthesizer\, samples and programmed drums on the album. There are cameos by Christine Bougie (Bahamas)\, Pat Keen (Humbird)\, Andriu Yanovsky (The Rumble)\, Kevin Matthews (Gasoline Lollipops) and Eric Wiggs (Jake Leg).   \n\n\n\nSpears is best-known for her work with fiddling singer Lizzy Plotkin. The duo’s album\, “Just Over the Ridge\,” was one of Folk Alliance’s top ten charting albums of the year and made number seven on Billboard’s bluegrass album chart. Spears has played the John Hartford Memorial Festival\, Blackpot Festival\, Palisade Roots Festival\, Chautauqua Community House\, Crested Butte Performing Arts Center and the Wheeler Opera House. When she’s not touring\, Spears can be found writing songs with veterans\, creating the space and trust for them to tell their stories and process their trauma through music. Alongside teaching\, working with veterans is one of the ways she practices reciprocity—sharing the gift of music that has given her so much. Hymn of Wild Things threads opposites together: love with loss; tradition with innovation; and the human experience with a more-than-human world. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 18+ VALID PHOTO ID REQUIRED\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 6 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

The dynamic throwback trio have long been disciples of the place where traditional Blues\, Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll intersect. “We make records that we would want to listen to\,” says guitarist Matt Stubbs. “It’s our take on the song-based traditional electric Blues we love.” Stubbs\, along with guitarist & vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans\, strive to bring traditional Blues to the front lines of the modern roots music scene. “The focus for us has always been on the story\, the melody\, and on creating a mood\,” Stubbs continues. “Traditional Country and Soul have all had these massive recent revivals. We want to be part of doing that for traditional Blues music.”  \n\n\n\nGA-20 has drawn inspiration for their old-school sounds from the music they love by artists such as Otis Rush\, J.B. Lenoir\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Junior Wells\, Hound Dog Taylor\, Earl Hooker\, Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson and so many others. Performing with what feels like reckless abandon\, GA-20 brings a timeless immediacy to every song they play with a sound that continues to grow and evolve. The band uses vintage instruments and amps to produce their authentic sound\, and favours traditional recording techniques\, like recording live off the floor together in one room\, to help recreate that energy and sonic connection.  \n\n\n\nIn their short history\, GA-20 have been 3x #1 Billboard Blues chart toppers\, 4x Boston Music Award winners for Best Blues Act\, and have received multiple wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards\, Blues Blast Awards\, New England Blues Awards\, and have ascended streaming and radio charts at home and internationally. Medium.com has appropriately declared\, “This is the kind of music that travels through time while taking from the era where it was born and turning it into something fresh. Dirty and raw…timeless and modern.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWEBSITE / INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK / TWITTER / FACEBOOK / TIKTOK / APPLE MUSIC / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\nThere’s something about Tony Holiday that draws people together. In fact\, community has been at the core of Holiday’s young career from the beginning. Since relocating from Salt Lake City to Memphis in 2017\, Holiday has been at the center of a soul blues revival in Memphis\, anchored by a contingent of young\, savvy well-schooled musicians with a “family-like” attitude and a strong belief in one another. Mentored by past legends\, Holiday and this loose Memphis collective are building on the city’s rich traditions and carrying them forward. \n\n\n\nMotel Mississippi\, Holiday’s 2nd solo album\, was recorded about an hour outside Memphis in Coldwater\, Mississippi\, at Zebra Ranch\, the studio of the late great Memphis legend Jim Dickinson (The Rolling Stones\, Big Star). Combining the sounds of North Mississippi Hill Country\, Delta Blues\, and Memphis soul\, Motel Mississippi is equal parts hypnotic blues\, driving soul\, and juke joint stomper. The album consists of six originals and two covers\, “Rob & Steal” by Paul Wine Jones and “Nobody But You” by Asie Payton. \n\n\n\nLike with previous projects\, Motel Mississippi began as a collaborative effort\, this time between Holiday\, guitarist/songwriter A.J. Fullerton and guitarist/producer Dave Gross who shared production duties with Fullerton. Rich sonic layers provide a forward-thinking quality to these productions\, conjuring up a vibe that’s modern and retro at the same time. \n\n\n\nThe drone and drive of songs like “Rob & Steal” and “Get By” contrast with juke joint grooves like “Just As Gone” while diving into new territory with the Cajun-infused double harmonica instrumental “Yazoo River.” The album was recorded by another mainstay of recent Memphis recording\, Kevin Houston (Southern Avenue\, North Mississippi Allstars\, G. Love). Other musicians on the album include Lee Williams Jr. on drums\, Terrance Grayson on Bass\, Aubrey McCrady on guitar\, Jake Friel on Harmonica\, and Mikey Junior on backup vocals. \n\n\n\nMotel Mississippi follows 2020’s Soul Service\, produced by another regular collaborator\, Southern Avenue’s Ori Naftaly. This followed two volumes of Tony Holiday’s Porch Sessions\, which saw Holiday traveling across the United States and throughout Europe recording blues musicians on their very own front porches\, in front of juke joints\, in the countryside\, and even on the front stoops of raucous night spots in bustling cities\, resulting in two critically acclaimed albums. The guestlist struck a balance between older legends like Grammy® winners Charlie Musselwhite and Bobby Rush\, former Muddy Waters guitarist John Primer and the iconic Lurie Bell\, alongside some of Holiday’s peers Southern Avenue\, Victor Wainwright\, and John Németh. The latter two have served as important mentors for Holiday since his move to Memphis. \n\n\n\nThere’s something in the water in Memphis\, and Tony Holiday has tapped into it to contribute to an exciting new chapter unfolding in this storied region. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+ VALID PHOTO ID REQUIRED\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 6 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Magazine. In addition\, this past fall “Lucky Man” was a feature song on NASCAR Angels. Mack and Rachel also co-penned “It’s Time”\, which has received critical acclaim from former Vice-President Al Gore\, as promoting environmental awareness. Mack was awarded for his excellence with a WAMMIE for Best Traditional Folk Performer\, and his song “High Gear” has been featured on NPR’s popular Car Talk.  \n\n\n\nOriginally hailing from the small town of Troy\, North Carolina\, Mack attended the North Carolina School of the Arts and graduated with a degree in music performance.  Besides writing\, performing solo and in his two groups\, and recording eight solo albums\, Mack is musically active in several medical and environmental causes\, including Maryland Therapeutic Riding\, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation\, The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center\, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation\, Starlight Starbright\, and Challenge Aspen.  Mack has also played in nursing homes and Alzheimer’s units playing group concerts and individual outreach\, and he continues to enjoy working with school students on songwriting in their creative writing classes.  He recently completed his Masters Degree in Music Therapy and works in Aspen\, Colorado.  \n\n\n\nMack has established a new 501C3 non-profit organization called Music Therapy Retreats which focuses on addressing the needs of veterans and other at-risk populations and transforming their lives and those of their families through evidenced-based research and techniques.  Therapies include: self-confidence and self-esteem; mindfulness; emotional identification; therapeutic interventions; songwriting; repairing/building relationships; normalizing lives; coping skills; and reframing experiences. \n\n\n\nABOUT GABRIELLE LOUISE \n\n\n\nWEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM \n\n\n\nGabrielle Louise writes original Americana that\, though rooted in folk tradition\, blends a sophisticated use of musical harmony with a lyrical love for philosophy\, history\, and storytelling. Her voice is agile as birdsong in one moment and bold as a coal train whistle in another. Known for her authenticity and candor on stage\, her performances delight with whimsical banter and enchant with dynamic musicality. After graduating Berklee College of Music in 2007\, she crossed the country many times over in a veggie oil powered tour van\, released nine records of original work\, and has been entrusted to open for greats from Joan Osborn to the late Guy Clark. Call 970-279-5258 for dinner reservations. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$55 MEMBER / $60 ADVANCE / $70 DAY OF \n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINALLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser \n\n\n\nUNDERWRITTEN BY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT JOHN CRAIGIE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenre: Singer/Songwriter \n\n\n\nWEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\nJohn Craigie has mastered the art of creating live shows that feel more like intimate conversations than performances. Infusing humor\, wit\, and poignant storytelling\, his shows are a space where audience members feel like old friends. Whether he’s headlining solo or sharing the stage with longtime collaborators\, Craigie’s ability to make his crowd laugh\, reflect\, and connect is second to none. As he prepares to release Greatest Hits… Just Kidding… Live – No Hits\, his latest live album captures the warmth and spontaneity of these memorable nights. \n\n\n\nAt this point\, there have been quite a few good shows in the rearview… \n\n\n\nAs a tried-and-true performer\, he has regularly sold out solo tours in addition to hitting the road with the likes of Langhorne Slim\, Brett Dennen\, Mason Jennings\, Bella White and Jack Johnson. He has picked up fans with sets at Newport Folk Festival\, Pickathon\, Edmonton Folk Festival\, and High Sierra Music Festival. Including numerous European tours and his first Australian tour in spring of 2024 Moreover\, his annual river trip on the Tuolumne River—just outside of Yosemite in California—has remained a hit with his audience\, hosting one sellout after another. Giving back as much as possible\, he notably launched the #KeepItWarm Tour during the holidays. By donating $1 from every ticket sale\, this headline run has raised money for regional non-profits with the goal of fighting food insecurity. An avowed Beatles acolyte\, he has performed acoustic renditions of the albums Abbey Road and Let It Be live in front of packed crowds and partnered with Record Store Day for limited-edition vinyl releases of those concerts.. \n\n\n\nSimultaneously\, his catalog has continued to reel in tens of millions of streams fueled by favorites such as “I Am California\,” “Highway Blood\,” “Don’t Ask\,” and “Microdose.” Maintaining a prolific pace\, 2024’s Pagan Church saw him join forces with TK & The Holy Know-Nothings. Among many highlights\, it logged six weeks at #1 on the Americana Radio Albums Chart. Inciting critical applause\, Pop Matters raved\, “All of Craigie’s songs are made of something truly ineffable\,” and American Highways assured\, “Along with excellent musicianship across the album\, there are genuinely pretty moments on ‘Pagan Church.’” Meanwhile\, he joined forces with Langhorne Slim for a duet song “Out On The Road.” \n\n\n\nTo him\, the live albums seek to achieve a sound where the listener will feel like they’re in the venue\, sitting and experiencing the show with the rest of the crowd. \n\n\n\nCraigie certainly accomplished that mission on Greatest Hits…Just Kidding…Live – No Hits by threading together tunes like “Rachel\,” “Michael Collins\,” and “Laurie Rolled Me A J” with moments of insight\, signature wit\, and unexpected catharsis as he reminds the crowd\, “You guys are my therapists\, and I missed you a lot.” \n\n\n\nAt the same time\, he capped off the proceedings with two new gems\, namely “Mallory” and “Summer 2020.” In “Mallory”\, a song about a deaf woman who came to one of his shows\, breezy chords underline the heartfelt melody as he declares\, “Sound is all I have\, but I’ll come back for you.” \n\n\n\nThen\, there’s the alternately provocative and intensely heartfelt “Summer 2020.” Chronicling his experience of lockdown and marching in the protests of that year in what he calls “the worst and most important summer of my life”. His deep intonation bellows over a deftly finger-picked guitar as he sings\, “I was tired of being silent so I headed downtown to the heartbeat of it all and I saw veterans and mothers linking arms with one another.” \n\n\n\nUltimately\, Craigie’s story continues with more shows and music. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT JOBI ROCCIO\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenre: Singer/Songwriter \n\n\n\nWEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Morrison\, Colorado – a tourist town in the foothills outside of Denver that’s home to Red Rocks Amphitheater – Jobi Riccio grew up surrounded by music and found inspiration in artists ranging from Sheryl Crow to Joni Mitchell. Sonically\, Jobi’s music exists between worlds\, melding the classic craftsmanship of her songwriting with modern indie-leaning production to forge a lush\, expansive sound that feels traditional and experimental all at once.   \n\n\n\nShe has received significant acclaim for her songwriting\, including the 2023 Newport Folk Festival John Prine Fellowship\, the 2024 Luck Reunion Artist On The Rise program and a nomination at the 2024 Americana Music Association’s Honors and Awards in the category of Emerging Artist of the Year.  \n\n\n\nHer debut album\, Whiplash (out now on Yep Roc)\, has garnered praise from The New York Times\, CBS\, Billboard\, NPR\, and The Nashville Scene to name a few. “This is the kind of album where you leave knowing an artist better than you ever thought you could in less than 40 minutes\, and learn a thing or two about yourself in the process” Says Marissa R. Moss\, who named Whiplash her number one Country album of 2023 for Stereogum. Not one to be confined into any one mold\, Riccio’s Whiplash introduces influences from a variety of genres\, while still holding space for her love for all decades of country and americana music.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS 2/13\n\n\n\nTICKETS 2/14\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 18+ Valid Photo ID Required\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

These open rehearsals are a prelude to Dance Aspen’s full production\, Re:imagine\, which will be presented at the Wheeler. \n\n\n\nRe:imagine\, an evening of world premieres by American choreographers whose careers abroad in Europe have shaped bold new visions for contemporary ballet. \n\n\n\nAbout DanceAspen \n\n\n\nIn 2021\, in response to the dissolution of the Roaring Fork Valley’s professional dance company\, a determined group of dancers led by Laurel Winton established a bold\, new contemporary company. Their grassroots effort quickly garnered local support\, culminating in a sold-out debut at the Wheeler Opera House. Rooted in the principles of collaboration\, community\, and artistic excellence\, their company has developed a significant reputation\, showcasing internationally renowned choreographers and creating 30+ world premieres. DanceAspen has also graced prominent stages at the Vail Dance Festival and Aspen Music Festival\, demonstrating their dedication to producing new contemporary dance while enhancing the cultural vibrancy of the Aspen area. \n\n\n\nLearn more about DanceAspen: WEBSITE / INSTAGRAM \n\n\n\nAbout Emilie Leriche \n\n\n\nWEBSITE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmilie Leriche is a freelance performer and creator based in Göteborg\, Sweden. Originating as ski bums playing house parties in Salt Lake City’s Cottonwood Canyons\, they’ve evolved into a nationally touring band that always aims to have the most fun possible. Along with the skill and expertise that comes from nearly a decade of performing together\, they bring the energy of closing weekend at your favorite ski resort to the stage. Their unique blend of heartfelt songwriting\, high velocity instrumental excellence\, silly outfits\, and sing-along anthems has captivated audiences nationwide. Pixie and The Partygrass Boys invite the audience into their world every time they take the stage\, hoping to share a piece of the magic they’ve found on the mountain tops and in the desert canyons of their Utah home.  \n\n\n\nPixie and The Partygrass Boys have been touring extensively since the release of their 2018 debut EP “Utah Made” at countless venues across the USA. Notable festival appearances include becoming a five-year fixture at WinterWonderGrass\, as well as gracing the stages of Bourbon and Beyond\, High Sierra Music Festival\, Northwest String Summit\, Jam Cruise\, Rockygrass\, Walnut Valley Festival\, Blue Ox Music Festival\, Delfest\, Sawtooth Valley Gathering\, Gem and Jam\, and Hangtown. They have also directly supported musical greats such as Billy Strings\, The Infamous Stringdusters\, Grace Potter\, Lindsay Lou\, The Brothers Comatose\, and Lake Street Dive.  \n\n\n\nSigning with Americana Vibes in 2023 marked the release of their 4th album\, “The Chicken Coop Sessions: Vol. 1\,” honoring their origins with the nostalgic covers that brought them together for those canyon house parties so many years ago.  \n\n\n\nTheir latest album\, ‘Pixie & The Partygrass Boys\,’ explores the full spectrum of the human experience. Merging the traditional sounds of Appalachia with the unbridled wildness of the Mountain West\, Pixie and The Partygrass Boys weave a musical tapestry that leaps from the speakers to captivate the heart of the listener. Whether you’re wild and free (as all things are meant to be)\, dissolving a relationship into nothing\, skiing through knee deep snow in a secret ski spot (because there’s no friends on a powder day)\, or marching on to find love and beauty despite the troubling times we find ourselves living in\, everyone wild find a home in their music and lyrical content.  \n\n\n\nTheir self-titled release is a departure from their conventional stringband approach of the past. Recorded at Man vs. Music studios in their hometown of Salt Lake City\, produced and engineered by Utah legend Michael Sasich\, Pixie and the Partygrass Boys incorporated every tool in the toolbox to bring their songs to life. By enhancing their non-traditional bluegrass quintet with drums\, pedal steel\, trumpets\, ethereal guitar choirs\, baritone guitar\, electric bass\, and a makeshift choir composed of their closest friends\, they craft a sonic exploration of unconventional musical landscapes.  \n\n\n\nLooking forward to 2025 with fresh songs\, another album on the way\, and their first year of international touring\, Pixie and The Partygrass Boys will be bringing their high-energy show to a town near you. As exciting and energetic as their latest album is\, it is eclipsed by their high-octane live performances. Featuring high kicks\, fun outfits\, intimate stage banter\, dad jokes\, and high-velocity musical excellence\, their show is unforgettable and not to be missed. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT DJ CASTANEA\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFACEBOOK / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\nUnder the alias CASTANEA\, David Brown of Rising Appalachia brings his musical versatility to the forefront\, combining acoustic and electronic elements. Known for his skills on the upright bass and baritone guitar\, Brown also excels in turntables and production\, creating a sound that is as immersive as it is innovative. The name CASTANEA\, referring to a tree species reviving from near extinction in North America’s eastern forests\, symbolizes the rejuvenation and transformation present in his music. This project bridges traditional sounds with contemporary beats\, creating a rich\, evolving sound that resonates across genres. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

A true Southern Spectacle and one of queer country’s leading voices\, the inspiring singer-songwriter is brave enough to truly be himself – and help others do the same. His third album Southern Spectacle is a loud-and-proud soundtrack for those who break the mold\, mixing the joyful energy of pop and funk with a down-home heart (because nobody is just one thing). Raised in Russellville\, Kentucky\, Mac grew up a farm-and-church kid loving The Spice Girls and Shania Twain\, who’s non-stop singing soon moved from the bedroom to Sunday services and talent shows. By 22 he had moved to Nashville to write songs he thought the mainstream would accept\, but by his own admission\, nearly 10 years of struggle led nowhere – until he realized he was doing “three chords and the truth” all wrong. Fusing vocal soul with a danceable country-funk mix (and the full fabulousness of his personality)\, 2023’s breakout hit “Disco Cowboy” set Mac free. The rapturous music video held the #1 spot on CMT’s 12-Pack Countdown for four weeks\, leading to a full album of the same name and a pandora’s box of conversations. After protestors forced Mac to cancel a hometown performance\, waves of supporters joined his cause\, including Kelsey Ballerini and Maren Morris\, who invited Mac to open her Lunatic Tour in Chicago. The national media also took notice\, with Mac’s music hailed by Billboard\, Entertainment Weekly\, Out\, GLAAD\, and PEOPLE\, calling Mac “country music’s very own Elton John.” Southern Spectacle is the end result – a definitive intersection of country music and queer identity. Arriving in 2025\, 12 songs co-written by Mac with close friends (including at least one other queer creator on each track) mark a work of cloud-nine courage\, with a resilient\, revelatory sense of self acceptance. Louder and prouder than ever\, and with a true community in his corner\, Mac finally embraces his own story\, contrasts and quirks included. His work might invite the scorn of a few\, but also gives his fellow Southern Spectacles permission to strut. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT CHRIS HOUSMAN\n\n\n\nGenre: Country \n\n\n\nWEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY / TIKTOK \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChris Housman is a multi-faceted musician and boundary-breaking singer-songwriter who lives by the mantra “y’all means all.” Hailed by The Tennessean as “one of Nashville’s most authentically soulful singer-songwriters” and praised by Billboard for giving a voice to “outcasts in the genre\,” Housman is helping lead a powerful shift toward inclusivity and truth in storytelling. \n\n\n\nRaised on a farm outside the tiny rural town of Hanston\, Kansas (population 200)\, the stage was set early for Housman to chase big dreams. At just seven years old\, he began performing in his family band\, teaching himself to play the fiddle and soaking in the magic of making music. That early spark evolved into extraordinary versatility—he now sings and plays guitar\, piano\, upright bass\, saxophone\, drums\, banjo\, spoons\, and even placed 5th in the world at an International Whistling Competition. “I love picking up an instrument with no idea what im doing\, it opens up an entirely different world of sound and inspiration for me.” \n\n\n\nDubbed as “the ‘gayme-changer’ the country music field needed\,” by USA Today\, his critically acclaimed debut album Blueneck was a bold and proud introduction to his sharp songwriting\, musical dexterity\, and unwavering commitment to his story. The title track debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country chart\, #4 on the iTunes all-genre chart\, and #16 on the Billboard Digital Sales chart\, with the album amassing over 7 million streams so far. \n\n\n\n“Regarding ‘Blueneck\,’ it’s not a coincidence that the song that is the most authentic and kind of my identity song about my story\, that’s the thing that resonated the most. It was so validating\, I can’t even express what that did for me.” \n\n\n\nThe project offers a poignant\, witty reflection of his true identity\, which is delivered with hooks as compelling as the message behind them. Rolling Stone called the title track “a defiant anthem of staying true to your heart in the face of a world that tells you to dim your shine\,” while Billboard also stated the project “melds a ’90s country sound with songs that reflect Housman’s own truths and journey.” \n\n\n\nAs he looks ahead at this new chapter\, Housman hopes to create songs that he wishes he had heard when growing up. Undeniably country\, harkening back to his days on his family’s farm\, this new collection of music will further cement his place in the genre.  \n\n\n\n“I see this massive gap missing in the genre\, and I see that as an opportunity to grow the genre more. I’ve always loved country; I think Lainey [Wilson] said this at an award show\, that she was waiting for country to love her back\, and I truly felt that. \n\n\n\nHousman’s music breathes life into his truth\, telling stories that resonate across genre lines while serving as a beacon of representation for the LGBTQ+ community and his organic following of over 300k online followers.  \n\n\n\nRooted in lived experience and honesty\, he continues to write and perform songs that have become a safe space for all country fans\, especially those who have long felt unseen. “I don’t see any reason why anyone should feel excluded from anything\, let alone a genre a music\,” he says of his vision for his legacy. “Country music is so incredibly powerful and healing\, it should be for everyone”. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT ASPEN GAY SKI WEEK \n\n\n\nAspen Gay Ski Week (AGSW) is the oldest annual\, week-long LGBTQ+ ski event in the nation. Each week the podcast features an in-depth interview with a fiction\, non-fiction\, essay\, or poetry writer. The show is equal parts investigation into the craft of writing and conversation about the topics of an author’s work. \n\n\n\nABOUT A COMPLETE FICTION \n\n\n\nWith little evidence\, would-be author P.J. Larkin serves a “nibble” on the trendy new social-media app Crave\, accusing editor George Dunn of stealing the novel she submitted to him for publication. The nibble shoots to the top of the site’s Popular Menu Items and before you can say “unpaid literary labor\,” George is embroiled in a scandal\, his job and book deal in jeopardy. P.J.’s novel is snapped up amid the publicity\, but has she revealed her sister Mia’s secrets in the book? Some diners on Crave think so\, and now it’s P.J.’s turn to feel the public’s scorn. Told in the humorous vein of Where’d You Go\, Bernadette?\, A Complete Fiction examines the very serious questions of who has a right to tell a story\, and has cancel culture gone too far in our social media-drenched world?  \n\n\n\nABOUT R.L. MAIZES \n\n\n\nR.L. Maizes’s debut novel\, Other People’s Pets\, won the 2021 Colorado Book Award in Fiction and was a Library Journal Best Debut of Summer/Fall 2020. She is also the author of the short story collection We Love Anderson Cooper. Her stories have aired on National Public Radio and can be found in Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading and in The Best Small Fictions 2020. Maizes’s essays have appeared in The New York Times\, The Washington Post\, O Magazine\, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency\, and have aired on NPR. She is a Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Fellow and the recipient of a Fellowship Grant from the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture for 2024-2025 for her novel-in-progress. She lives in Niwot\, Colorado. \n\n\n\nLearn more about R.L. Presenting complex and virtuosic arrangements with rustic\, acoustic instrumentation including acoustic guitars\, upright bass\, and violin\, they have described themselves as “mountain swing” – the kind of music that fits as well in a log cabin as it does in a speakeasy or on the big stage. \n\n\n\nThe band has been nominated by multiple publications for Best Jazz Band on the Front Range and won the 2017 Producers Choice award at the Westword Music Showcase. With headlining spots at City Park Jazz\, Swallow Hill Music\, and the Oriental Theater\, as well as recurring appearances at Dazzle Jazz and the Speakeasy Soiree\, LAPOMPE has become a frequent sight in the Denver music scene.
