The film chronicles the budding “Regenerative Agriculture” movement\, a type of farming based on working with nature\, instead of against it. \n\n\n\nDirected by eco-filmmaking duo\, Josh Tickell and Rebecca Tickell\, (Fuel\, The Big Fix\, Kiss the Ground)\, the new film features appearances and narration by notable Hollywood talent including Laura Dern\, Jason Momoa\, Rosario Dawson\, Woody Harrelson\, Ian Somerhalder\, and Donald Glover. The star-studded narration is structured as a heartfelt letter to our children’s generation – the very generation who will soon inherit the Earth. The letter\, and the film itself\, is an urgent message about the harsh realities of our future\, as well as a hopeful and practical plan for how to mend the broken systems that dictate human existence on Earth. \n\n\n\nCommon Ground chronicles the struggles and triumphs of a politically and culturally diverse group of farmers\, ranchers\, scientists\, and advocates who all share one thing in common: they believe in a way of ecological farming that builds soil. By using a fusion of ancient wisdom and modern technology\, the farmers and ranchers in this movement make more money and grow more nutrient-dense food than their “conventional” farming counterparts. These “regenerative pioneers” argue that to save humanity from multiple imminent calamities\, we must first save our soil. Common Ground shows that soil is quite possibly the most valuable substance on our planet\, because “if our soil dies\, we also die.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPANELIST \n\n\n\nKaya Williams – Moderator / Aspen Public Radio \n\n\n\nKaya Williams is the Edlis Neeson Arts and Culture Reporter at Aspen Public Radio\, covering the vibrant creative and cultural scene in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. Williams joined the team after a stint at The Aspen Times\, where she reported on Snowmass Village\, education\, mental health\, food\, the ski industry\, arts and culture and other general assignment stories. Before moving to Aspen in October 2020\, Kaya was a freelance researcher for the podcast team at America’s Test Kitchen\, where she helped produce “Proof\,” “The Walk-In” and “Mystery Recipe” while working from her mountain hometown of Tahoe City\, California. She studied journalism and history at Boston University\, where she also worked for WBUR\, WGBH\, The Boston Globe and her beloved college newspaper\, The Daily Free Press. \n\n\n\nCasey Piscura / The Farm Collaborative \n\n\n\nCasey Piscura is a Roaring Fork Valley based farmer\, seed breeder and regenerative agriculture educator. Casey founded Crystal Valley based seed farm\, Wild Mountain Seeds\, in 2013 on historic Sunfire Ranch where he operates today. In 2019\, Piscura launched local nonprofit Seed Peace with a mission “to accelerate the Roaring Fork Valley’s transition to regenerative agriculture and land management”. Casey now assumes the role of agricultural director at The Farm Collaborative after merging his nonprofit and continues his diverse innovative work valley wide. Casey has spent more than a decade feeding the community through farmers markets\, CSA shares\, restaurants\, food banks and small grocers. His seeds have attracted a nationwide and international audience for their resilient nature\, vigor\, beauty and flavor\, and have been proven to thrive on farms and gardens in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. \n\n\n\nMariah Foley / ACES Agriculture Manager \n\n\n\nMariah Foley is in her sixth growing season at Rock Bottom Ranch\, and 12th year measuring time in growing seasons. A love for outdoor recreation in the mountains morphed into a career in farming through a desire to deepen her relationship and connection with land. Farming allows Mariah to be a participant in stewarding the social and ecological communities that help nourish her. Before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley to work at Rock Bottom Ranch in 2019\, Mariah farmed at larger scale organic vegetable farms in south central Pennsylvania and Boulder County\, CO. \n\n\n\nMariah’s farming career began while she was an undergrad at the University of Denver\, taking every class having to do with food systems and agriculture. She ended up with a cocktail of majors and minors in Geography\, International Studies\, and Sustainability. \n\n\n\nBrian Hightower / AVLT Ranch Manager and Education Coordinator \n\n\n\nBrian moved to the Roaring Fork Valley from Virginia for the summer of ’93 and never left. After teaching social studies in Aspen for 12 years\, he traded his indoor classroom for an outdoor one with AVLT. Since 2016\, he has facilitated outdoor education opportunities for students and educators in the valley and beyond. In 2019\, AVLT’s efforts to protect a piece of agricultural history intersected fortuitously with Brian’s passion for healthy food and local ecosystems. In anticipation of AVLT’s Coffman Ranch acquisition\, Brian completed a Master’s in Regenerative Agriculture in 2022 and added Ranch Manager to his job description. He is consistently working to employ best practices that are focused on soil health and biodiversity and is one cattle drive away from earning his cowboy hat. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aspen Valley Land Trust \n\n\n\nAspen Valley Land Trust is the only local non-partisan\, nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving land forever in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys. For 57 years\, AVLT has been a trusted community-supported conservation partner helping to ensure the natural and community health of our region. \n\n\n\nWebsite / Facebook / Instagram \n\n\n\nAbout Aspen Center for Environmental Studies \n\n\n\nAspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES)\, a non-partisan\, nonprofit organization\, provides enriching environmental literacy programs for kids\, teens\, and adults as well as community and business leaders. He specializes in Wiener Klassik — Viennese Classicism — especially the works of Haydn\, Mozart\, and Beethoven performed on the Viennese fortepianos of their time. \n\n\n\nCalled “master of the Viennese fortepiano\,” Daniel’s performances are praised for their “extraordinary precision and lightness” (The Common Reader). Critics applaud his “very sensitive phrasing” and “marvelous dynamic contrasts” (Marblehead Current) featuring “broad warmth” and “lavish but tasteful” playing (Classical Sonoma). \n\n\n\nHe made his Carnegie Hall (Weill) debut at age 22 and is in demand worldwide with 50+ tour dates per year as a sought-after soloist\, Lieder accompanist\, and clinician. Daniel also hosts Classical Cake\, the podcast about Viennese classical music and culture. \n\n\n\nDaniel studied historical performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. He refined his command of historical practices through private study with Andreas Staier and Ingomar Rainer. \n\n\n\nBefore switching to the fortepiano\, Daniel studied privately with internationally-renowned pianists John O’Conor\, Gil Sullivan\, and Robert Lehrbaumer. \n\n\n\nDaniel is devoted to performing on Viennese fortepianos — utilizing the vast range of tones and colors familiar to the composers. He brings his expertise in the Viennese sound\, culture\, philosophies\, and performance practices of the Classical era to his interpretations. \n\n\n\nHe also enjoys the 18th-century practice of leading orchestras in concerto and symphony performances from the keyboard\, acting not as a modern conductor\, but as a leader from within the ensemble. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSUPPER CLUB & SHOW TICKETS\n\n\n\nSHOW ONLY TICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocal 7th and 11th graders enrolled in TACAW’s Youth Art Pass program are eligible to receive two (2) free admission tickets: one (1) for them and one (1) for a guest. DESCRIPTION:JW Francis and Paul Cherry\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\nFREE WITH RSVP \n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE WITH RSVP\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT JW Francis and Paul Cherry\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenre – Pop \n\n\n\nJW FRANCIS \n\n\n\nBorn in Oklahoma\, raised in Paris\, living in New York City\, assistant to a Nobel Prize Winner\, licensed New York City tour guide and Murder Mystery business owner\, JW Francis is one of the newest signings to Sunday Best Recordings. His brand of lo-fi\, utterly irresistible bedroom dream-pop takes its lead from the city JW lives in\, with echoes of Jonathan Richman\, The Velvet Underground and the lo-fi sound New York has been inspiring for decades. \n\n\n\nFollowing a string of singles\, New York’s very own JW Francis finally releases his sophomore album WANDERKID on Sunday Best Recordings. The LP is the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut We Share a Similar Joy\, which saw JW firmly mark himself out as New York’s next lo-fi legend gaining mass support from BBC 6Music\, Apple Music\, Spotify\, DIY\, The Line of Best Fit\, The Independent\, HMV\, Wonderland\, and many others. \n\n\n\nA collection of 11 irresistible tracks\, WANDERKID is a concept album which explores themes of escapism and the urge to break free as JW elaborates; “WANDERKID is an album about escape. It’s supposed to be a gut punch of a record about an anti-hero named WANDERKID who wants to get OUT: out of his living situation\, out of his head\, out of his life. This album is like looking out the car window with an urgent desire to be on the other side. It was finished during the most recent global pandemic\, so hopefully folks find it relatable.” \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\nPAUL CHERRY \n\n\n\nThrough pining comes purpose. Paul Cherewick\, monikered Paul Cherry\, makes a departure from pining for an unrequited love on his debut LP Flavour toward the hunger for creative fulfillment on Back on the Music. “Bouncing off the bottom: this pattern is the problem…” is the melancholic opening line of the new album\, a meandering meditation on the life of an artist: chasing inspiration\, finding community\, and the struggle to maintain both. Throughout the buoyant\, alright-on-the-outside tracks that make up his second album\, Cherry staggers and stumbles back into love with his life and craft. \n\n\n\nMusic becomes personified inside Tootsie Roll\, becoming an ugly\, grinning trench coated villain plucked right out of a vintage Max Fleischer cartoon\, cooing to the listener\, “You know you want me. Take me\, take me\,” harmonizing over his own voice. Almost as if through excess\, inhibition and precise self-analysis\, Paul Cherry may find quiet. In the luxuriant arrangement of the title track\, Back on the Music he sings\, “You love to play\, but it don’t pay. Feels like you’re caught in check mate.” Not everything fits neatly within the lines of these songs\, as in the lonely\, wobbling flute melody that carries us out of It Happens All the Time. Cherry shows us that often the path back to one’s self—disguised in this album as Music—is a wavering one. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE WITH RSVP\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

DESCRIPTION:Hanging in the Balance: \n\n\n\nCompeting Needs for Water in the West \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 6:15 pm / DOORS @ 5:15 pm \n\n\n\nFree with RSVP \n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINALLIMIT OF 2 TICKETS PER PURCHASER. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT Hanging in the Balance: Competing Needs for Water in the West\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHanging in the Balance: Competing Needs for Water in the West \n\n\n\nDemand for water is increasing while availability is decreasing. How do we balance the needs of the environment\, recreation\, and agriculture? Presented by Aspen Journalism and Colorado Water Trust in partnership with The Arts Campus At Willits (TACAW) and Aspen Public Radio\, the community is invited to this free event featuring an expert panel discussing the challenges and opportunities presented by our collective need to stretch a limited resource. Cash bar with hosted snacks opens at 5:15 pm with the discussion to begin at 6:15 pm. \n\n\n\nExpert panel featuring: \n\n\n\nHeather Sackett\, moderator\, is the editor and lead reporter for Aspen Journalism’s water desk\, a position she has held since 2019. As AJ’s water desk editor\, Heather covers how policy and politics affect water management in Colorado\, primarily in the Roaring Fork and other headwaters basins of the Colorado River. She has also reported for The Denver Post and the Telluride Daily Planet and has a master’s degree from CU’s Center for Environmental Journalism. Sackett’s reporting\, notable for its sophistication and accessibility\, has been recognized by the Colorado Press Association. \n\n\n\nKate Ryan is a water lawyer who joined Colorado Water Trust in 2018 and was appointed as executive director in 2023. As a lawyer\, the first case she took through water court was for the Water Trust’s Three Sisters Ditch project on Hermosa Creek. Back in the early 2000s\, Kate had the chance to work with Recreational In Channel Water Rights for boating on the Eagle River. Kate’s past clients include farmers\, ranchers\, municipalities\, landowners\, the CWCB\, and the Water Trust itself. Before going to Berkeley Law she obtained a master’s degree in geography at the University of Colorado and worked as an associate scientist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center. \n\n\n\nHattie Johnson is the restoration director of American Whitewater’s southern Rockies Stewardship Program and is based in Carbondale\, Colorado. Prior to joining American Whitewater in 2019\, Hattie worked with Carbondale based engineering firm\, River Restoration\, for six years\, gaining an understanding of the connection of western communities to their waterways and how that connection encompasses long standing law and tradition as well as constant evolution. Hattie has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Georgia and is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect in Colorado. Her training as a landscape architect provides an interesting perspective on humans and their connection to the natural and built environment. Working in river restoration and recreation enhancement design provided insight into the physical and social connections people have to their local riverscapes. Shifting to water advocacy has provided an opportunity for a new approach and perspective to protecting and enhancing human relationships with rivers. In her spare time\, you can find Hattie and her family exploring headwaters creeks and rafting on the incredible desert river canyons of the Colorado Plateau. \n\n\n\nAndy Mueller is the general manager of the Colorado River Water Conservation District\, whose mission is to lead in the protection\, conservation\, use and development of the waters of the Colorado River for the residents of the Western Slope and to safeguard for all of Colorado all waters of the Colorado River to which the state is entitled. Prior to taking the helm at the River District\, Andy spent 23 years in private law practice on the Western Slope. His work ranged across the breadth of critical western Colorado topics: water\, natural resources\, land use and community issues. For nine years from 2006-15\, he was Ouray County’s director on the Colorado River District Board\, his last two as Board President. Andy also serves on the advisory board of the Family Farm Alliance and as an ex-officio member of the Water for Tribes Initiative Advisory Board. Andy earned his law degree from University of Colorado in 1995 after earning his BA in history from Kenyon College in Gambier\, Ohio. When he is not delving deep into Colorado River issues or spending time outdoors with his daughters\, he is actively engaged with his community\, serving on various community boards. \n\n\n\nMark Harris is a Senior Water Resources Consultant for SGM Engineers and Consultants. Previously Mark was the General Manager of the Grand Valley Water Users Association in Grand Junction. In that capacity he worked on water supply\, conservation\, water quality\, streamflow\, and endangered species recovery issues locally\, regionally\, and state and Basin wide. His work included innovative collaborative efforts with many public\, private\, and NGO organizations\, including the Colorado Water Trust and its support of the Vinelands Power Plant in Palisade. Mark has been involved in production agriculture and agribusiness throughout the intermountain west\, has degrees in Economics from Colorado College and Agricultural Development from Texas A&M\, and lives on the farm he grew up on.   \n\n\n\nAbout Aspen Journalism \n\n\n\nAspen Journalism is a nonprofit news organization founded in 2011 to produce in-depth and investigative journalism for those with a stake in the Roaring Fork Valley and the greater upper Colorado River basin. We believe well-informed citizens make better decisions\, that good journalism can sustain both community and democracy and that investigative reporting can spur needed reform. Supported entirely by donors\, we provide our stories for free to local and regional publications\, and with no advertising or paywalls at www.aspenjournalism.org. \n\n\n\nWebsite / Facebook / Twitter \n\n\n\nAbout Colorado Water Trust \n\n\n\nColorado Water Trust is a home-grown\, statewide nonprofit organization whose mission is to restore water to Colorado’s rivers. The Water Trust’s vision is that every Colorado river and stream has water that supports ecosystems\, communities\, and local economies. This is a band that revels in the past\, taking you back to the stylings of the late 60s and early 70s\, while always keeping its feet positioned in the present\, looking ahead to the future. \n\n\n\nFront man\, vocalist & keyboardist Kelly Finnigan always leads with power. The renowned rhythm section starts with drummer Austin Bohlman along with Max Ramey on Bass and Aquilles Magaña on guitar. A dynamic horn section led by Ryan Scott on Trumpet with Jason Cressey playing Trombone always elevates the show & sound. This core group drips in cosmic fashion. \n\n\n\nAs a touring band\, Monophonics has taken their act to dozens of countries\, selling out venues all over the states\, UK & Europe including London\, NYC\, Athens\, LA\, Istanbul\, San Francisco\, Amsterdam & Paris. Known for putting on an infectious performance which places their intimate songwriting and soulful musicianship on full display. Its the kind of concert that delivers gifts to the mind\, body and soul of every crowd in each city they travel to. Monophonics brings a musical experience that is unforgettable\, which has earned the group a global fanbase and loyal following. \n\n\n\nSage Motel\, Monophonics’ fifth studio album released in 2022 on Colemine Records\, once again captures the bands timeless psychedelic soul sound that they are known to produce. Met with an outstanding reception including nods from NPR Music\, KCRW\, BBC and Shindig\, the record has thrived in multiple scenes. Since it’s release\, ‘Sage Motel’ has found its way to millions of listeners online and seen thousands of records distributed and sold in record shops around the world. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupport: Kendra Morris\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere’s something undeniably out-of-time about both Kendra Morris and her indelibly cool new album I Am What I’m Waiting For (Karma Chief Records). It combines rough-hewn powerhouse vocals with arrangements that betray both an extensive record collection and a whimsical instinct for joyous noises — think Dusty Springfield fronting Spoon circa Kill The Moonlight or a 60s girl group creative directed by Nick Lowe and PeeWee Herman. It’s vibrant and varied and packed with personality. \n\n\n\n\n\n“How do you put yourself into a record? Torbitt and I wanted to make it feel like you cracked open the ooze in my head\,” Morris says\, referring to her co-writer and producer Torbitt Schwartz AKA Little Shalimar (Run The Jewels). Morris is an accomplished visual artist and stop-motion animator\, so it’s appropriate that I Am What I’m Waiting For takes a collagist approach\, mischievously recombining all sorts of rock and roll ingredients — the sass and swagger of Ronnie Spector\, the more acid-fried corners of the Nuggets compilations\, post-modern interpolations of mid-century exotica music\, the cracking snares and sugary urbanity of ESG — while offering moments of vulnerable insight from a life spent in pursuit of creativity. \n\n\n\nMorris was a musically precocious child and\, after playing in Florida bar bands\, moved to New York to chase the dream. Thus began a formative 13-year stint bartending at the beloved Lower East Side dive The Library\, which thrust Morris directly into the heart of Manhattan’s fertile post-Strokes creative scene. Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe lived upstairs\, music journalist Marc Spitz was a regular\, and touring acts would come through to carouse after playing Bowery Ballroom. During those moments\, Morris yearned to join the rarefied air of the musicians on the other side of the bar. \n\n\n\nAll the while\, Morris pursued her music dreams. “It was pure\, 100% DIY. I never took no for an answer. If I didn’t have the money\, I figured out how to make it happen: Videos\, artwork\, whatever.” After the dissolution of her first band\, she recorded 8-track demos and performed solo shows backed by cassette recordings of her own vocal harmonies. Through these shows she connected with longtime producer Jeremy Page. It was kismet. \n\n\n\n“I worked with Jeremy for the next 10-plus years\,” says Morris. “We worked together through some of the most beautiful and hardest life things I’ve ever gone through.” It was a fruitful partnership: Morris signed to Wax Poetics for the release of her “seductive\, soulful” (Rolling Stone) 2012 debut Banshee and 2013’s Mockingbird\, self-released her 2016 EP Babble (reissued earlier this year)\, and signed to Karma Chief for 2022’s “beautifully sung” (MOJO) Nine Lives. She’s linked up with a murderer’s row of collaborators\, including DJ Premier\, MF Doom\, Ghostface Killah\, and David Sitek. Interview Magazine called her “a modern day Janis Joplin\,” and NPR praised her “lush\, moody mix of neo-soul.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Then there’s definitely a rocker side of me with sharper teeth.” \n\n\n\nIn the last few years\, the Grammy-nominated Scottish Musician has expanded on these musical selves by focusing on a trilogy of records\, where each album zeroes in on a single concept: soul\, body and mind. The first\, 2016’s KIN\, was the soul record; 2018’s WAX was the body record\, and the new NUT is the mind record. Produced by Martin Terefe\, who co-wrote her 2005 global hit “Other Side of the World\,” NUT draws on Tunstall’s love of percussive West African grooves as a metaphor for the learning patterns of the mind\, and is an eclectic album that seamlessly weaves together disparate styles. She found her writing mojo thanks to “Canyons\,” a song propelled by a grimy\, heavy rock riff. In keeping with NUT’s theme\, the song’s lyrics are about the canyon-like physiology of the brain\,and explore the parallels between humans developing unique identities and the way nature evolves and is shaped over time. Elsewhere\, NUT’s lyrics and sound delve into KT’s own personal evolution\, and the way we all evolve through the repetition of behaviors and our reactions to life experiences. “Private Eyes” grew out of Tunstall’s brush with the vampiric downside of fame\, while “Three\,” summarizes the arc of the trilogy\, inspired by a journal practice where she would write multiple entries on one topic from the different perspectives of mind\, body and soul. \n\n\n\n“It was necessary in the circumstances to make NUT completely differently from any other record I’ve made\,” Tunstall says. “But I was excited and ready for that. The reason I pursued music was because I had to avoid a repetitive job. I need to feel a constant sense of exploration in life. I realized you can easily fall into repetition even in this job. And so for NUT\, I was like\, ‘Come on\, let’s do what we said we were going to do. Let’s push into something new.’ What’s always most important is making an exciting\, meaningful record that I love\, and to have fun while I’m doing it.” \n\n\n\nLearn more: Website / Facebook / Instagram / Spotify / YouTube \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT / JOIN THE WAITLST\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOPENER: LVDY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLVDY (pronounced LADY) is a Colorado-based duo comprised of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable. Their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling is a delightful recipe of singer-songwriter\, indie-folk\, with powerful melodies and harmonies that speak to the senses. Love anthems weave in and out of their messages\, with simple yet important reminders that we’re not alone. \n\n\n\nTheir ethereal harmonies\, musical warmth and meaningful lyrics find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors. Aubrey and Kathleen met in 2012 while studying abroad in Dunedin\, New Zealand and almost instantly became the best of friends. They bonded over their dreams of traveling the world sharing their music and began playing together in their chilly NZ flats. When they returned to the States\, they played on front porches of college houses as well as in the welcoming homes of friends and family. What began as late-night kitchen and living room jam sessions\, open mics and groovy covers turned into an outpouring of original tunes and the official birth of LVDY. Their next EP\, Feathers\, is set to release on February 23\, 2024 and showcases their most dynamic and mature sound yet. \n\n\n\n“Mable’s warm rasp complements Hooper’s bright and clear vocals. With an acoustic guitar\, the occasional tambourine and their harmonies\, LVDY makes honest music enveloped in positive vibes to fill those sunny Colorado afternoons.” – 303 Magazine \n\n\n\nLearn more: Facebook / Instagram / Spotify / YouTube \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSeated Show | All Ages\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

Students improve their Shakespeare literacy AND learn safe and effective intervention strategies they can use when they see mistreatment happening around them. This tour season\, the middle and high school play is a 45-minute Romeo & Juliet. Star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet strive for connection in a bitterly divided community. At 25 years old\, Yonder Mountain String Band continues to exist at the forefront of the progressive bluegrass scene as undeniable innovators and pioneers of the modern jamgrass movement. Blending bluegrass with elements of rock\, alternative\, psychedelic and improvisational music\, Yonder Mountain String Band brought their high-energy acoustic sound and light show into rock n’ roll settings with tremendous success\, proving it was possible for a bluegrass band to not only exist but excel in a rock world\, without drums. The inroads they made created opportunities for like-minded acoustic bands to perform at festivals\, rock clubs\, theaters and stadiums previously considered off-limits for string bands. Yonder Mountain’s high-energy sound\, compelling original music and anything goes attitude cultivated a spirit of collaborative improvisation that continues to fuel today’s progressive bluegrass and jamgrass scenes. It is a testament to the legacy of Yonder Mountain String Band that their original songs and unique interpretations of covers are regularly performed by next generation bands in the scene. \n\n\n\nYonder Mountain String Band celebrates their quarter century mark with a Grammy Nomination for their 2022 release Get Yourself Outside. Band members Adam Aijala (guitar\, vocals)\, Ben Kaufmann (bass\, vocals)\, Dave Johnston (banjo\, vocals) and Nick Piccininni (mandolin\, banjo\, fiddle\, vocals) co-wrote all tracks on the album over zoom sessions when Covid shut down the music touring industry. Yonder Mountain was recently honored with an induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame alongside friends and legends Leftover Salmon\, Hot Rize\, The String Cheese Incident and The Fox Theater (where they played their very first show as a band in1998). Yonder Mountain was officially inducted during a long-awaited\, but meaningful ceremony that took place on stage after their set at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s 50th anniversary this past June. \n\n\n\nLearn more about Yonder Mountain String Band: Website / Facebook / Instagram / Twitter / Apple Music or Spotify. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nStanding Show / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

If you followed the re-release of this film\, you know how badly folks wanted to dance in the theater aisles. Well\, you can’t have aisles if you don’t have seats in the theater. This is a casual film exhibition for the movers and groovers who want to party. \n\n\n\nDJ Honey will provide the soundtrack pre and post film. Expect bangers\, galore. We’re cooking up some other suprises and maybe a new cocktail called the “Making Flippy Floppy.” \n\n\n\nAbout Stop Making Sense: \n\n\n\nThe greatest concert film of all time brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne\, Tina Weymouth\, Chris Frantz\, and Jerry Harrison\, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) captures the band at their exhilarating best\, in this new and complete restoration for the film’s 40th anniversary. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. Since their earliest days as a forward thinking\, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound\, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene\, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play\, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly\, unique style. \n\n\n\nIn their fourth decade as a band\, Leftover Salmon is showing no signs of slowing down\, continuing to create new music in the studio\, including the most recent release Brand New Good Old Days (Compass Records 2021). The latest album shows that Leftover Salmon is still proving it possible to recreate themselves without changing who they are. The band now features a lineup that has been together longer than any other in Salmon history and is one of the strongest the legendary band has ever assembled. Built around the core of founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman\, the band is now powered by banjo-wiz Andy Thorn\, and driven by the steady rhythm section of bassist Greg Garrison\, drummer Alwyn Robinson\, and dobro player & keyboardist Jay Starling. The current lineup is continuing the long\, storied history of Salmon which found them first emerging from the progressive bluegrass world and coming of age as one the original jam bands\, before rising to become architects of what has become known as Jamgrass and helping to create a landscape where bands schooled in the traditional rules of bluegrass can break free of those bonds through nontraditional instrumentation and an innate ability to push songs in new psychedelic directions live. Salmon is a band who for more than thirty years has never stood still; they are constantly changing\, evolving\, and inspiring. If someone wanted to understand what Americana music is they could do no better than to go to a Leftover Salmon show\, where they effortlessly glide from a bluegrass number born on the front porch\, to the down-and-dirty Cajun swamps with a stop on Bourbon Street in New Orleans\, to the hallowed halls of the Ryman in Nashville\, before firing one up in the mountains of Colorado. \n\n\n\nLearn more about Leftover Salmon: Website / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Youtube / Spotify. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT / JOIN THE WAITLIST\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 2 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits
