This Jessica Catto Dialogue will delve into the policies shaping US food systems\, the impact agriculture has on the environment\, our inefficiencies of land use\, and the “agricultural exceptionalism” that protects the industry from oversight. We’ll discuss different policy approaches and priorities regarding past and future Farm Bills and how rethinking the food system more broadly offers options that uplift and support farmers\, farmworkers\, animals\, and most importantly… you. \n\n\n\nLearn more about ACES: Website / Instagram / Facebook / Youtube \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPeter Lehner is managing attorney of Earthjustice’s Sustainable Food and Farming Program\, deploying strategies to promote a more environmentally sound agricultural system. \n\n\n\nFrom 2007 to 2015\, Lehner was the executive director of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the NRDC Action Fund leading all aspects of the organizations’ work. From 1999 to 2006\, Lehner served as chief of the Environmental Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s office\, where his team prosecuted a wide variety of polluters and developed innovative multistate strategies targeting global warming and air pollution. Previously\, Lehner worked with the New York City Law Department\, starting and leading its Environmental Prosecution Unit. Lehner teaches a seminar on food systems and environmental law at Columbia and Yale Law Schools. \n\n\n\nLehner has a B.A. from Harvard in philosophy and mathematics and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is on the boards of the Rainforest Alliance and Environmental Advocates New York and helps manage two mid-sized farms.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJessica Hulse Dillon \n\n\n\nSenior Director\, Soil & Climate Alliance  \n\n\n\nJessica has extensive experience in fostering cross-sector collaborations to drive systemic change. Her expertise lies in engaging diverse stakeholders to develop sustainable national supply chains\, a focus that has been central to her work with member organizations. \n\n\n\nThis work has led Jessica to engage across industries including in the for and non-profit worlds\, as well across the government engaging both policy makers and policy implementors to create meaningful change that impacts the lives of those working to improve the world around them. \n\n\n\nWorking in both local and national food systems has allowed Jessica to more directly understand and engage in the issues that impact both our global food system and those on the front lines of this work. By connecting players across the food and agriculture spaces Jessica is able to identify the roadblocks in advancing the system and guide the development of solutions that address the root cause of the block. Focusing on all possible levers to create lasting change allows for solutions that address all sectors and players and lead to lasting change. \n\n\n\nThroughout her career spanning multiple sectors including energy\, maternal and newborn health\, education\, food access\, and agriculture as well as a global approach from working with partners around the globe\, Jessica has developed a versatile approach to problem-solving and collaboration. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nElizabeth Candelario \n\n\n\nChief Strategy Officer \n\n\n\nElizabeth has worked at the intersection of food\, climate\, and agriculture for the past fifteen years. She is Chief Strategy Officer for Mad Agriculture\, a non-profit that works with farmers as agents of change to move from extractive\, conventional agriculture to regenerative\, organic farming. The Mad! ecosystem of companies provides land and business planning\, farmer forward financing\, marketplace development\, and storytelling. Elizabeth’s role is to implement strategic initiatives in collaboration with our diverse network of partners in order to accelerate systematic change in our food system and help spark the regenerative revolution in agriculture.   \n\n\n\nIn her prior role as President of Demeter USA\, the exclusive domestic certifier of Biodynamic farms and products\, Elizabeth focused on expanding awareness and markets to enhance returns for regenerative farmers. She began her career in the California wine industry\, where she spent nearly two decades in increasingly senior positions\, with a growing emphasis on the environment. \n\n\n\nElizabeth speaks frequently at national food and environmental conferences\, and has written extensively on agriculture and climate change. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE WITH RSVP\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open @ 5:30pm / Program @ 6:00pm\n\n\n\nSeated Show / All Ages\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW & in Partnership with Aspen Center For Environmental Studies

The excitement\, creativity\, and improvisation that went into both bands live shows of so many years is brought back for old and new fans to enjoy today. \n\n\n\nBecause the number of songs available from both bands is so large\, the question that is heard at every Dead Floyd show is “What will they play next?” The unpredictability of the set list and the modern translation of classic\, beloved songs bring an element of surprise to every Dead Floyd show. The staff-to-youth ratio is under 1:5 to ensure each participant gets individual attention. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease reach out to Art Williams at awilliams@tacaw.org if you have any questions. His music is poetry in motion\, using harmonics\, looping\, multiple capos\, and his unique banter and stage presence to deliver an unforgettable live concert experience. Listening to his intricate arrangements is one thing\, but seeing the fan-dubbed “Acoustic Ninja” play live confounds even the most accomplished music lovers as to how one person can do all that with just two hands and ten fingers. \n\n\n\nBundy’s unique career has brought him across the world\, with concerts in 28 countries and counting – from high-tech performance halls in South Korea and Italy\, to remote villages in Zimbabwe and Guatemala. He has independently sold over 150\,000 albums on his record label\, Honest Ninja Music. His video clips circulate virally at astonishing speed\, with over 45 million YouTube views to date. \n\n\n\nJimmy Leslie at Guitar Player Magazine blogs “It was easy to see why Bundy plays bigger venues on each tour. In his hands\, the acoustic guitar is an imagination station\, and there was no telling where he is going take the audience at any given turn. Thrilling stuff.” \n\n\n\nAudiocast Magazine from Austin\, TX agrees: “Bundy’s live show is without a doubt an event that needs to be witnessed rather than told about. With such a jaw-dropping performance\, Bundy’s live concert is a slap in the face that would leave a palm print on the memory of everyone in the audience.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocal 7th through 12th graders enrolled in TACAW’s Youth Art Pass program are eligible to receive two (2) free admission tickets: one (1) for them and one (1) for a guest. SUMMARY:YOUR BRAIN\, ONSTAGE! / SUMMER CAMP
DESCRIPTION:YOUR BRAIN\, ONSTAGE! / Summer Camp\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAges: 11 – 13 \n\n\n\nPrice: $375 | Limited spots available \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT YOUR BRAIN\, ONSTAGE!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrain Science takes center stage in this unique camp encompassing brain science and theater arts! The week-long camp for rising 4th – 6th graders culminates in a performance at TACAW for an invitation-only guest audience. Students will participate in experiential learning by putting neuroscience on its feet for an audience. This camp takes the concept ‘if you can explain it then you’ve really got it’ to a new level…if you can ACT it then you’ve REALLY got it! Participants will take away observable knowledge of brain function along with skills and tools to help them self-regulate\, manage behavior\, and thrive – on stage and off! \n\n\n\nThe week’s activities will consist of theater and acting classes\, and rehearsing the FocusedKids “Brain Play” and will have opportunities for “non-performers” to participate in costume and set construction. Supplementary to the theater components of the camp students will learn about the brain\, its parts\, and their respective functions and also participate in engaging neuroscience lessons developed by the Aspen Science Center. This unique offering will engage students with an interest in science and the arts alike. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION | Your Brain Onstage Camp\n\n\n\nRegistración | Tu Cerebro\, En el Escenario\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease reach out to Art Williams at awilliams@tacaw.org if you have any questions. With the songs Loggins presented leaning more toward folk (a style Messina felt could resign Loggins to the “past”)\, Messina suggested to Columbia Records president Clive Davis that he consider letting Messina “sit in” in much the same way that jazz artists had done in the past\, and that Loggins incorporate more upbeat material into his album. \n\n\n\nSays Loggins: “Right from the beginning\, Jimmy was the producer\, I was the artist. I’d never made a record. I’d never put a band together. I’d never found a manager or an agent. So\, Jimmy was the leader…” Leading the way as producer\, arranger\, vocalist\, and guitarist\, and contributing the signature songs “Listen To A Country Song” (subsequently also recorded by country music legend Lynn Anderson who had a #3 hit with the song in 1972) “Nobody But You\,” “Same Old Wine” and “Peace Of Mind” (from “Trilogy”) the album Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin’ In was released one year later in November of 1971 and an accidental duo was born. \n\n\n\nIn the next few years\, a series of albums would follow in rapid order: 1972’s Loggins & Messina\, 1973’s Full Sail\, 1974’s double-live On Stage\, the same year’s Mother Lode\, 1975’s cover song set So Fine and 1976’s Native Sons. The Best of Friends greatest hits collection followed later that year and in 1977 another live album fittingly called Finale. When the dust had settled\, Loggins & Messina had sold sixteen million albums\, become one of rock’s biggest live draws\, and cemented their legacy as one of the most successful recording duos ever.  \n\n\n\nFollowing the split with Loggins\, Messina recorded four critically acclaimed solo albums: 1979’s sublime Latin rock with a touch of jazz album Oasis; 1981’s eponymous Messina featuring guest performances by Jeff Pocaro\, Joe Pocaro and Victor Feldman; 1983’s One More Mile; and 1996’s re-imagined retrospective of concert favorites Watching The River Run Revisited.  \n\n\n\nMost recently\, Messina has released two live albums. In 2010 he released both a DVD and CD entitled Jim Messina “LIVE” at The Clark Center for the Performing Arts. It contains the video and audio performances of his musical body of works\, those he performed with The Buffalo Springfield\, Poco and Loggins and Messina\, including a number of his newest songs such as She’s Gotta Rock and Sinners and Saints. \n\n\n\nNow\, nearly 50 years after first stepping into the studio with Stephen Stills\, Neil Young and Richie Furay to engineer Buffalo Springfield Again\, Jim Messina is hitting the road with guitar in hand to tell the stories and sing the songs that made Buffalo Springfield\, Poco\, and Loggins & Messina\, iconic American groups. \n\n\n\nConcludes Messina: “The road most traveled in my innocence was with this band of poets\, and is the same road that “Twists and Turns” as I journey along my musical road of life. For ‘I ride with “Sinners” and I sing with “Saints” and I do what I can to avoid what I cain’t\, I’ll pass on the judgment\, now you make the call\, I’m a playin’ my hand. For two decades\, McBride has documented the Colorado River\, from source to sea and always with a camera in hand. \n\n\n\nThrough McBride’s photography and his own words\, as well as essays on climate change and river overuse\, we witness the stark reality of our water crisis but also the remarkable beauty and resilience of this ephemeral source of life. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Pete McBride \n\n\n\nNative Coloradan Pete McBride has spent two decades studying the world with a camera. An award-winning photographer\, filmmaker\, writer\, and public speaker\, he is a Sony Artisan of Light and has traveled on assignment to more than 75 countries for the National Geographic Society\, Smithsonian\, Outside\, Google\, USAID and many others. He has spoken on stages for TEDx\, The World Economic Forum\, Pixar\, Nat Geo Live\, and more. His feature documentary\, Into the Canyon\, was nominated for an Emmy in 2020\, and his books The Grand Canyon: Between River and Rim and Seeing Silence both won National Outdoor Book \n\n\n\nAwards. His latest book The Colorado River: Chasing Water (Rizzoli 2024) celebrates one of America’s most iconic rivers and warns against overuse and climate change. \n\n\n\nWebsite / Facebook / X / Instagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBook Launch @ 7:00 pm / DOORS @ 6:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Join us for June’s premier dance party featuring live musical performances by this year’s host\, N3PTUNE. Good times\, indeed! \n\n\n\nNamed the Best Breakout Artist of 2023 by Westword Magazine\, N3PTUNE is an explosive queer multi-hyphenate hailing from Denver\, CO. Heavily influenced by his upbringing in the Baptist Church\, N3PTUNE alongside his co-producer and virtuoso guitarist RSTY merge the essence of gospel\, blues\, and soul into an amalgamation of pop music as only their minds can create. Their songs are bold and brash\, and their live performances are immersive and raw to the point where Sleigh Bells’ Alexis Krauss likened the experience to “seeing Prince live for the first time” and proceeded to invite them to tour with them on the spot. \n\n\n\nTheir quick ascent from the local DIY scene to selling out shows and performing on some of Denver’s biggest stages like Red Rocks\, Ball Arena Halftime Show for the Nuggets\, and supporting the likes of Cordae\, Matt & Kim\, Rina Sawayama\, Wyclef Jean\, Sleigh Bells\, KennyHoopla\, Aluna and others\, has made N3PTUNE + RSTY staples in Denver’s music scene. Not only that\, but their penchant for pushing fashion and performance art in visuals and live performances has allowed them to carve a lane for themselves\, unlike anything that has come before. RENAISSANCE\, their first collaboration arrived on December 10\, 2021\, to critical acclaim. The project produced major singles in “Black Horse” and “White Pony” both of which received significant syndicated radio play\, and the latter getting prominent co-signs on Spotify’s Nu-Blue playlist and others. \n\n\n\nN3PTUNE + RSTY supported the album by touring the East Coast alongside Sleigh Bells in August 2022. After major performances at festivals like Electric Forest and Capitol Hill Block Party in 2023\, N3PTUNE + RSTY will be releasing their long-awaited debut album\, in early 2025. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:30 pm / DOORS @ 8:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

DESCRIPTION:Natalie Spears Album Release\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\n$20 MEMBER / $25 ADVANCE / $35 DAY OF \n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT / JOIN THE WAITLIST\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINALLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT Natalie Spears Album Release\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenre: Soulful Folk \n\n\n\nIt’s the quiet awe of wild places that most animates Natalie Spears’ music. Outside her home in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley\, she listens to the language of birds\, notices patterns of migration and sees the cosmos in the countryside. For Spears\, nature offers a constant invitation to open the aperture of life to something wider\, something wilder. Her forthcoming album\, “The Hymn of Wild Things\,” (out June 7) chronicles her experience of wonder\, loss and metamorphosis. This is a collection of songs about the intimate corners of humanity\, hers and ours alike. With a quiver of instruments (banjo\, piano\, guitar)\, she threads opposites together: love with loss; tradition with innovation; and the human experience with the more-than-human world. \n\n\n\nNatalie Spears will be joined by a full band in addition to guest appearances from the Paonia based “Singing Bone” shadow puppet troupe. \n\n\n\nLearn more: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / ALL AGES\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits
