Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. Since their earliest days as a forward thinking\, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound\, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene\, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play\, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly\, unique style. \n\n\n\nIn their fourth decade as a band\, Leftover Salmon is showing no signs of slowing down\, continuing to create new music in the studio\, including the most recent release Brand New Good Old Days (Compass Records 2021). The latest album shows that Leftover Salmon is still proving it possible to recreate themselves without changing who they are. The band now features a lineup that has been together longer than any other in Salmon history and is one of the strongest the legendary band has ever assembled. Built around the core of founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman\, the band is now powered by banjo-wiz Andy Thorn\, and driven by the steady rhythm section of bassist Greg Garrison\, drummer Alwyn Robinson\, and dobro player & keyboardist Jay Starling. The current lineup is continuing the long\, storied history of Salmon which found them first emerging from the progressive bluegrass world and coming of age as one the original jam bands\, before rising to become architects of what has become known as Jamgrass and helping to create a landscape where bands schooled in the traditional rules of bluegrass can break free of those bonds through nontraditional instrumentation and an innate ability to push songs in new psychedelic directions live. Salmon is a band who for more than thirty years has never stood still; they are constantly changing\, evolving\, and inspiring. If someone wanted to understand what Americana music is they could do no better than to go to a Leftover Salmon show\, where they effortlessly glide from a bluegrass number born on the front porch\, to the down-and-dirty Cajun swamps with a stop on Bourbon Street in New Orleans\, to the hallowed halls of the Ryman in Nashville\, before firing one up in the mountains of Colorado. \n\n\n\nLearn more about Leftover Salmon: Website / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Youtube / Spotify. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT / JOIN THE WAITLIST\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 2 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Song “All for You” topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997 and the success propelled their album to platinum status.  \n\n\n\nIn their first showing on the country music charts they made a strong debut with “Lighter In The Dark” at #4 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart\, #6 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart\, #30 on Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart.  \n\n\n\nThe band landed on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart again in 2018 and 2019 with Volumes I\, II\, III\, and IV of a clever EP compilation series titled “Elements.”  In February 2018\, “Water\,” landed on the Billboard Country Albums chart at #9 and at #2 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart along with making their debut on the most revered stage in country music\, the Grand Ole Opry. In September of 2018\, “Wind” landed at #1 on iTunes country page and #11 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. In February 2019\, Vol. III “Fire” landed at #5 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and #46 Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart. The collectible compilation series ended with “Earth” which again landed at on the charts at #15 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Album chart.  \n\n\n\nLiving up to their fan-centered reputation\, the band hosts annual events like “Hazelnut Hang\,” that focuses on fan involvement and was a pioneer in themed cruise experiences by co-founding “The Rock Boat\,” a cruise featuring nonstop opportunities for fan/artist interaction. Sister Hazel has been equally attentive to connecting with their audience through social media. They have since made their Grand Ole Opry debut and shared the stages with country music superstars at The CMA Festival\, Tortuga Music Festival\, among others. In addition to the events and touring\, the band also gives back with “Lyrics For Life.” Founded by singer Ken Block and the Band\, the charity unites musicians and celebrities for concerts and auctions to benefit cancer research and patient-care charities. \n\n\n\nLearn more: Website / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / Spotify \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n TICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOPENER: BUCKSTEIN\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nColorado grown — born and raised at 5280. \n\n\n\n“I don’t like country music but I like you.” \n\n\n\nMaybe it’s that “no-fear-of-the-edge” mentality that hooks the non-country-lovin’ folk… but no doubt the 6’4” bass-baritone powerhouse melts\, molds\, and moves you the way only a man of country music can. .  \n\n\n\nThe most common question a singer will be asked is\, “When did you start singing?” Buckstein’s answer: “When I found out that the chicks dig it.” Sounds like a punchline but it’s the truth. \n\n\n\nHe was 13\, at summer camp\, trying to figure out how to meet girls like everyone else. A couple of girls were singing “Amazing Grace” and he shyly scooted up next to them and started singing along. “When they found out I could sing they immediately introduced me to all the other girls in the camp\,” he chuckles. “I’ve been singing ever since.” \n\n\n\nHis love of country music is thanks to his father who introduced him to the genre. Despite his attempts to hate it– “It takes one good country song to hook ya.” Buckstein warns. “Mine was probably ‘Thunder Rolls’ by Garth Brooks or ‘This Ain’t No Thinking Thing’ by Trace Adkins. I heard those tunes when I was about 11 or 12 and something just clicked—I was hooked.” \n\n\n\nHe continued to grow up a country boy at heart often retreating on horseback into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. However\, living in the city he had the opportunity to explore musical influences outside of the expected box\, running a gamut that you can hear in his writing. Influences include blues\, rock\, rap\, top 40 and classics from the ’50s. \n\n\n\nBuckstein studied theater in college\, earning his BA from California State University\, Fullerton. He had moved to LA to pursue a career as an actor. “I couldn’t get arrested in Los Angeles.” he jokes. “One day a few friends of mine went to the ‘American Idol’ auditions\, which was the hottest show on TV at the time. They wanted some company so I went along. I got through and they didn’t. It was Idol that set me on a different path.” He hit 200 million television sets worldwide as a contestant on the finale of “American Idol” in Season 5\, and he returned to Denver with music on the brain. \n\n\n\nHe started singing with whomever would back him up\, growing along the way\, learning his craft\, year after year\, little by little\, making friends\, music\, mistakes\, and big moves.. “Those years were invaluable\,” he says. “They call it ‘paying your dues.’ It always sounded like a bad thing. But I found out paying your dues can be some of the most fun you’ll ever have.” \n\n\n\nWith the help of his band\, “The Heard”\, he has rocked crowds opening for Charlie Daniels\, Dustin Lynch\, Old Dominion\, Eli Young\, John Michael Montgomery\, Mark Chesnutt\, Vanilla Ice\, and many\, many others. He’s gained local fame as a regular guest star writing witty tunes on the spot on Denver’s hottest country station 98.5 KYGO and also as the writer and performer of “The Grizzly Rose\,” which is a popular song and music video about the famous Denver country nightclub… Buckstein wrote the song about his experience during his first week playing at the legendary venue. \n\n\n\nHe began\, as most do\, singing covers of all of the artists he was most influenced by. Buckstein embraces covers and thinks that no matter what\, “there should always be room in your set to pay homage to the artists and songs that have touched your life. Even when you’re selling out arenas with your own stuff you can do that. I have a saying: ‘Today we play the songs that others have written… so that someday we may play the songs that we have written… so that someday others may play the songs that we have written.’ You gotta put those pauses in there for dramatic effect\,” he laughs.  \n\n\n\nLike any cowboy\, Buckstein has traversed valleys and mountains to get where he is — and his journey is just beginning. \n\n\n\n“Music\, especially country\, is a way to communicate\, to speak our truth\, to build a community around timeless old-world ideals: honesty\, integrity\, facing your fears\, caring for others.”  \n\n\n\nTrue to the cowboy code\, he finds creative ways to explore and communicate universal truths. Buckstein’s goal is to bring soul to everything he does. “What people seem to respond most to in my life and in my live performances is my passion\, so I work hard to bring that passion to everything I record… my sound gets compared a lot to the great bass-baritones of my time: Trace Adkins\, Toby Keith\, Josh Turner\, and Chris Young. But I personally hate comparisons. I don’t think Josh Turner wants to hear he sounds like Don Williams\,” he laughs. “If my sound were a drink\, I’d like to think it would be under a cork instead of a twist cap; a crisp bite with a smooth finish.” \n\n\n\nHe gives all the thanks in the world to his fans and his crew: “Without the people who support me\, on stage and off\, this would all be for nothing. I try to always surround myself with good people who want to make good music for other good people.” \n\n\n\nAnd if you’re still wondering\, it’s pronounced “Buck-steen.” \n\n\n\nLearn more: Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / Spotify \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nLocation: TACAW\, 400 Robinson St\, Basalt\, CO 81621\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: TACAW

Chris Pureka is a Portland-based singer-songwriter whose body of work has resonated deeply with these seemingly disparate milieus. Their music has straddled the folk\, americana and indie rock genres over the course of their 20 year career\, and over that time\, their bold vulnerability in processing the intimacies of life in song has struck a chord with those listeners who crave authenticity and depth. \n\n\n\nChris’s elegant emotionality as a vocalist and their flair as a lyricist have garnered them favorable comparisons to Chan Marshall\, Bruce Springsteen\, and Patty Griffin. Over many years of touring on both sides of the Atlantic\, they have shared the stage with such diverse and esteemed artists as The Lumineers\, Gregory Alan Isakov\, The Cowboy Junkies\, Haley Heynderickx\, and Ani DiFranco. They have had their songs featured on such television shows as Brothers and Sisters\, Covert Affairs and Shameless and well as a song featured in the Sundance featured indie film\, The Royal Road. Along the way\, Chris has remained truly independent\, selling nearly 50\,000 albums through their own label\, Sad Rabbit Records. \n\n\n\nLearn more: Website / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / Spotify \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial Guest Avery Marshall\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAvery Marshall is a music maker from Tulsa\, Oklahoma. Bach to Philip Glass\, to blues and Irish traditional tunes\, in a way that transcends each individual element\, and becomes its own masterpiece. \n\n\n\nNothing about this production follows any preconceptions. It’s a brilliant experimental ensemble piece of talent and split-second timing\, that throws open the door for an original experience of narrative\, sound\, silence and suspense.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n TICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtist Bios:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJOY ADAMS \n\n\n\nCurrently on tour with the hot new alt-bluegrass band “Big Richard”\, Grammy winning cellist Dr. Joy Adams has recorded the haunting cello themes of award-winning Netflix shows “The Queen’s Gambit” and “Godless”\, and performed with major artists such as Bruce Hornsby\, Ben Folds\, Nathaniel Ratcliffe\, Bobby McFerrin and Chick Correa. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nERIC THORIN \n\n\n\nCurrently on tour with Peter Rowan\, Eric Thorin is a highly regarded musician who can be found on stage with The Matt Flinner Trio\, Bonne Paine\, Tony Furtado and more.
