DESCRIPTION:Tommy Castro and the Painkillers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm \n\n\n\n$35 MEMBER / $40 ADVANCE / $50 DAY OF \n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 21+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINALLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT TOMMY CASTRO AND THE PAINKILLERS\n\n\n\nGenre: BLUES \n\n\n\n WEBSITE / SPOTIFY / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK \n\n\n\nMultiple award-winning\, California-based blues and rock sensation Tommy Castro is the guitar slinging\, soul-singing leader of the telepathically tight and wildly raucous Tommy Castro & The Painkillers. He’s released 17 previous albums over the course of his four-decade career. Each release features its own individual sound and style\, ranging from horn-fueled R&B to piping hot blues and soul to fiery\, stripped-down rock ‘n’ roll. With his new album\, Closer To The Bone\, Castro has returned to his roots\, delivering what he calls “a real blues record\, the way they would have made them back in the day.” Closer To The Bone is the most unvarnished\, straight-ahead blues release of Castro’s career\, one that bristles with every ounce of his dynamic energy and raw emotion. \n\n\n\nOn Closer To The Bone (Castro’s 8th Alligator release)\, Castro and his Painkillers—bassist Randy McDonald\, keyboardist Mike Emerson and drummer Bowen Brown—mix new Castro originals (Ain’t Worth The Heartache\, Can’t Catch A Break\, Crazy Woman Blues) with songs originally performed by many of Castro’s friends and heroes. Artists and their songs include Johnny Nitro (One More Night\, on which Castro plays his treasured 1966 black Fender Stratocaster\, a guitar once owned by Nitro himself)\, Magic Slim (Hole In The Wall)\, Ron Thompson (Freight Train)\, Mike Duke (Keep Your Dog Inside) and Chris Cain (Woke Up And Smelled The Coffee). Castro additionally chose obscure songs by Wynonie Harris (Bloodshot Eyes)\, Eddie Taylor (Stroll Out West)\, Jimmy Nolen (The Way You Do) and Johnny “Guitar” Watson (She Moves Me). According to Castro\, “These are not the obvious artists people generally cover\, and that was most definitely on purpose.” \n\n\n\nCloser To The Bone was produced by master guitarist and studio wizard Christoffer “Kid” Andersen (producer of over 100 albums)\, at his now-famous Greaseland Studio in San Jose\, California. Closer To The Bone finds Castro at the top of his game\, bringing his seemingly limitless energy and boundless talent to the studio. Guests on the album include labelmates Andersen\, Rick Estrin\, Chris Cain and Billy Branch\, along with saxophone player/vocalist Deanna Bogart\, keyboard wizard Jim Pugh and\, on three songs\, the voices of The Sons Of The Soul Revivers. \n\n\n\nBorn in San Jose\, California in 1955\, Tommy Castro first picked up a guitar at age 10. He fell under the spell of six-string stars like Elvin Bishop\, Taj Mahal and Mike Bloomfield. Almost every major rock and soul act\, from Ike and Tina Turner to Janis Joplin to Tower Of Power\, toured through the area\, and Castro was at every show. He saw John Lee Hooker\, Albert King\, and Buddy Guy and Junior Wells at a local club\, JJ’s Blues Bar. Castro often jammed at JJ’s\, dreaming of busting out and making a name for himself. He created his own personal sound and style by mixing the blues\, R&B and funk music he loved into his own\, instantly recognizable brand of uplifting\, soul-healing music. \n\n\n\nAs his reputation spread\, Tommy played in several Bay Area bands\, quickly making a name for himself as a hotter-than-hot live artist bursting at the seams with talent. In 1985\, he became lead singer and guitarist for the regionally popular blues band NiteCry before joined popular Warner Brothers’ artists The Dynatones\, gigging all over the country. He formed the first Tommy Castro Band in 1992 and has not stopped touring since. In 1995\, soon after releasing their first album on Blind Pig Records\, The Tommy Castro Band were selected as the house band for three seasons on NBC Television’s Comedy Showcase (airing right after Saturday Night Live). The show brought Tommy in front of millions of viewers every week and cemented his reputation as a not-to-be-missed live performer.  \n\n\n\nAfter a series of successful releases on the Blind Pig\, Telarc and 33rd Street labels\, Tommy Castro joined Alligator Records in 2009. His label debut\, Hard Believer\, launched to massive popular and critical acclaim. 2011 saw the release of the raucous Tommy Castro Presents The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Revue—Live!. In 2014\, Castro & The Painkillers released The Devil You Know\, followed by Method To My Madness in 2015\, Stompin’ Ground in 2017\, and the irresistible Killin’ It—Live in 2019. With 2021’s A Bluesman Came To Town\, Castro told the story of a young musician’s journey through the blues world. AllMusic said the album was “a towering achievement.” \n\n\n\nCastro received his fourth prestigious and coveted Blues Music Award for B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year in 2023. He’s taken home a total of 10 Blues Music Awards and is among the genre’s most decorated artists. Castro’s relentless road-dog approach—gig after gig\, 150 nights a year—continues to earn him loyal\, lifelong fans everywhere he plays. The Washington Post says Castro is “phenomenal and funky” with “soulful vocals and inspired blues guitar.” Famed guitarist Joe Bonamassa says\, “Tommy has always been top of the heap among blues guitar players. He always puts on a great show.” \n\n\n\nTommy Castro & The Painkillers’ deceptively simple approach on Closer To The Bone delivers one thrilling performance after another. Says Castro\, “Here\, I’m not the contemporary guy\, not the rock guy\, not the soul guy. This is the deeper blues side of me. I know\, with these songs\, I am at my most authentic.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

With a career built largely through grassroots social media support\, the folk-rock singer has demonstrated that listeners are hungry for earnest storytelling rooted in age-old American musical traditions. Marcagi announced himself with “The Other Side\,” a depiction of the claustrophobia of small-town life\, but it was his cinematic tribute to taking a leap of faith — “Scared to Start” — that pushed his TikTok view counts into the millions. In a few short weeks\, he had built a legion of eager fans and secured a record deal with just two songs to his name. His debut Warner Records EP\, American Romance\, expands on that promise\, highlighting the timeless sound and engaging sense of emotional truth that has made Marcagi’s music so immediately compelling. \n\n\n\nThough he grew up playing and singing in rock bands\, Marcagi always struggled to envision himself as a solo artist. However\, his persistent desire to record some of his sparer acoustic songs — ones he rarely dared to perform in public — eventually inspired him to try his luck. Dipping into his savings\, he trekked to upstate New York\, decamping to a studio outside of Woodstock to work with producer David Baron (Lana Del Rey\, The Lumineers\, Shania Twain). The two assembled a team of crack musicians to bolster Marcagi’s intimate and unvarnished guitar and vocal performances\, employing folk and bluegrass instrumentation\, cavernous rock drums\, and luxuriant vocal harmonies. \n\n\n\nAll of the songs Marcagi recorded — including the five on American Romance — mix authentic storytelling with sadness\, frustration\, and ennui. Avoiding confessional outpourings\, he turns his experiences growing up in the Midwest into vignettes exploring the cracks in human relationships. By his own account\, coming from a largely conservative and religious town meant that a tightly prescribed set of family values were passed onto him. The EP’s title track explores this directly\, sketching scenes from an archetypal failed marriage of teen sweethearts. \n\n\n\n“There are all these familial norms you have to fall into\,” Marcagi explains. “I just watched a lot of my friends fall into that trap of getting married really young and then watching it falling apart before they are even thirty.” \n\n\n\nEven at his most unsparing\, Marcagi is careful not to pass judgment on the decisions of the characters in his songs. If the songs on American Romance carry any message\, it is that there is no “right way” to get through life\, and that we learn something we can use from every relationship. This message comes through pointedly “In the Light\,” which Marcagi claims he connects with more than any other song he’s written. The defiant stomp-along anthem is carried by an infectious mandolin and piano motif and disarmingly direct lyrics: “So fuck all you bought\, it ain’t what you got/And be who you need and not what you’re taught/You know from all this pain you cannot hide/And stand there in the light.” \n\n\n\nMarcagi never undermines his listeners or takes them for granted. “Audiences are usually smarter than the musicians they are listening to\,” he says. For him\, there’s plenty of evidence that modern listeners of all generations understand and connect with specificity and sophistication in songwriting. This is part of why he aspires to remain as open and approachable as possible — in both his music and his public persona. If what has happened in his career during the past year is any indication\, he may be on to something. \n\n\n\n“I want people to feel like they know me\,” Marcagi says. “I’ve never really connected to that mysterious rock band thing — four blurry faces in a field where you don’t know who the guys are. I don’t want to hide.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT ASHLEY KUTCHER\n\n\n\n\nAshley Kutcher is a Baltimore-born singer\, songwriter\, and artist who marries her emotive voice and highly personal storytelling to create country-tinged pop reminiscent of Shania Twain with the pop sensibility of Kelsea Ballerini & LANY. In 2019\, Kutcher performed countless gigs in local bars in between attending college for nursing. Gaining traction with original music online\, she answered a TikTok comment with “Love You From A Distance.” After taking over TikTok and inspiring millions of creatives\, the song exploded to the tune of over 95mm Spotify streams to date and paved the way for her first two EPs: One Eighty and Survive My Own Mind. In their wake\, she sold out her first two headline US Tours. Ashley released her debut album “House on The Water” in January 2024\, and released her “Play Responsibly” EP in October 2024. \n\n\n\nAshley’s latest music is a return to her roots as an acoustic singer/songwriter\, marrying hard hitting hooks with a more organic & country influenced sound. Ash performed at SXSW in March 2024\, conducted her third headline tour in May\, along with another more extensive headline run in Nov. \n\n\n\nLearn More About Ashley Kutcher: WEBSITE / TWITTER / FACEBOOK / SPOTIFY / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 13+ (16 and Under Must Have an Adult Guardian Present)\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

But within those\, Donato has carved out a unique and individualized spot for himself\, one that speaks to the deep American music heritage that inspires him — and that he’s pushing towards the future with inspired\, intentional vigor.  \n\n\n\nHe calls it Cosmic Country\, a moniker that’s both self-descriptive and a statement of purpose. It’s an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang; a showcase for Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft. Bridging Nashville and the Great West\, Kentucky and mid-60s northern California\, tie-dye and plaid\, it’s a world of his own\, and a wide world of musical adventure at that.  \n\n\n\nWhile growing up in Nashville his his father\, who turned his young son on to music of all genres\, suggested the fledgling and industriously minded (even at just 14) artist start busking in Nashville’s lower Broadway area and outside concerts\, for eight hours at a time on the weekends. One night\, the two happened by Robert’s Western World where legendary honky-tonk local mainstay the Don Kelly Band were performing. “Their songbook was that of my main influences still to this day — Merle Haggard\, Willie Nelson\, Waylon Jennings\, Bob Wills\, Marty Robbins\, Bill Monroe\, traditional bluegrass music\, Hank Williams Sr. — old-timey music with real stories and emotions that everybody has. It just hooked me right away.” Donato eventually became a member of the band\, playing four hours a night at Robert’s (464 shows in total). \n\n\n\nAnother piece of the puzzle came through later in Donato’s teenage years — the Grateful Dead\, thanks to a high school American History teacher who gave him a pile of bootleg recordings when he was 18. “When I discovered Jerry Garcia\, there’s really never been anyone who writes like that\,” says Donato. “From there I went on to discover Bob Dylan and all the great writers and made me want to make that part of what I did as well.” \n\n\n\nThe whole package of player\, singer\, writer and band leader was in place. Two albums in\, Daniel Donato and Cosmic Country\, featuring Nathan Aronowitz (keyboards/guitars/vocals)\, Will McGee (bass/vocals) and Will Clark (drums\, percussion/vocals) are selling out venues throughout the country and bringing their brand of Cosmic Country to an ever growing\, passionate fanbase. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Upon arriving\, the Illinois-born singer/songwriter/actor pursued a major life change\, working 12-hour days on a local farm—a turn of events that catalyzed an extraordinary burst of creativity and redefined his sense of purpose as an artist. On his new album Rhumba Country\, LaFarge reveals his newly heightened devotion to making music that channels pure joy. “There was a time when I glorified sadness because I lost sight of who I was\, but now I understand that creating and expressing joy is my gift\, and gifts are meant to be shared\,” he says. Reclaiming his voice\, LaFarge has recorded his boldest album yet.  \n\n\n\nRhumba Country was initially shaped from material that emerged while LaFarge was deep in work on the farm. “I’d be pushing a plow or scattering seeds\, and the songs would just come to me\,” he recalls. “It was tremendously inspirational and made me realize that apart from singing\, farming is perhaps the oldest human art form.” But as he moved forward with his songwriting\, something felt undeniably amiss. LaFarge then spoke with fellow Midwestern transplant Elliot Bergman (Wild Belle)\, who suggested he return to city life in Los Angeles for a season so that the two musicians could work together—a collaboration that soon brought the rhumba to LaFarge’s country. As he immersed himself in the album’s creation\, LaFarge began dreaming up a kaleidoscopic sound informed by his love of music from far-ranging eras and corners of the globe\, including mambo\, tropicália\, rocksteady\, and mid-century American rock-and-roll. Co-produced along with Chris Seefried and Bergman and recorded in L.A.\, the resulting Rhumba Country is an invitation to come together to celebrate life and love. “The songs that naturally come to me are upbeat and make you wanna dance or at least bop your head—they’re all very colorful\,” says LaFarge. “I used to think of my music in dark blue\, but now I see it in technicolor.” \n\n\n\nOn the album-opening “One You\, One Me\,” LaFarge offers a retreat into the charmed and rhapsodic world of Rhumba Country\, sharing a breezy love song rendered with radiant simplicity. “The same way Picasso worked his whole life to paint like a child\, I’ve been more focused on simplifying my music over the years\,” he says. “The fewer the chord movements and simpler the lyrics\, the clearer the message. It’s about trying to get to the point where the songs are almost like prayers.” In the case of “One You\, One Me\,” that benediction centers on LaFarge’s belief in “evolving and working hard to love and be loved because that’s what we’re here to do.” And like all of Rhumba Country\, “One You\, One Me” serves as a prime showcase for LaFarge’s unforgettably distinct voice and ineffable charisma—an element he’s also continually brought to his work as an actor\, including recent endeavors like his turn as Hank Snow on CMT’s Sun Records\, as well as roles in the Southern Gothic thriller The Devil All the Time and the forthcoming rock opera O’Dessa. LaFarge pares his songs down to the essential throughout Rhumba Country\, ornamenting each track with subtle details that immediately delight the listener. On “Run Run Run\,” for instance\, layered percussion and distorted guitar tones converge in what he describes as a “tropical-gospel song.” Graced with the heavenly harmonies of his wife\, Addie Hamilton (a singer/songwriter in her own right)\, “Run Run Run” ultimately delivers an exultant call to overcome the obstacles and distractions that keep us from pursuing our calling. “That’s based on the words of Paul the Apostle\, who said to run the race set before you\,” LaFarge explains.  \n\n\n\nOver the course of Rhumba Country’s ten effusive tracks\, LaFarge dispenses hard-won wisdom in a way that’s never heavy-handed\, often imbuing his songwriting with all the guileless magic of a fable or folktale. A perfect example of that dynamic\, the ’60s-R&B-influenced “Sister André” was inspired by the true story of the French nun who recently passed away at the age of 118. “She lived through both world wars\, the flu epidemic\, all the way down the line through Covid\,” says LaFarge. “After I heard her story\, I started singing about a character who’s got a lot of sage advice to share\, and it turned into a song of encouragement for those who are lonely and hoping for love.”  \n\n\n\nOn “So Long Chicago\,” LaFarge slips into lighthearted storytelling as he muses on the cultural phenomenon of those in colder climates heading south for winter. Co-written with Hamilton\, the playfully cheeky snowbird ode mines inspiration from ’70s-era Chuck Berry\, unfolding in freewheeling guitar work and fiercely stomping rhythms. A bona fide musical eccentric\, LaFarge further flaunts his idiosyncratic sensibilities on the magnificently loopy “Like a Sailor\,” a dance-ready and dreamlike number that speaks to the inevitability of struggle on one’s path.  \n\n\n\nAs he documents his tireless journey toward finding his true home\, LaFarge also reimagines a tune from reggae legend Ken Boothe. Spotlighting his supreme talents as a song interpreter\, his take on “Home\, Home\, Home” infuses a heartfelt longing into every moment and\, in turn\, breathes new life into the late-’60s rocksteady classic. “The more you listen to music from around the world\, you realize everybody’s got their form of country music\,” says LaFarge. “It goes back to why I named the album Rhumba Country \n\n\n\nin the first place: it’s poking fun at the futility of boxing everything into but a few genres\, ‘What is folk music? What is country or soul?’ I’ve always bucked at all those boundaries and found it much more exciting to create my own genre.”  \n\n\n\nLaFarge’s boundless curiosity for music from other cultures played a vital part in shaping the album’s instantly captivating sound. “Listening to a lot of music from around the world helped simplify my approach\,” he notes\, naming Brazilian singer/composer Jorge Ben among his key inspirations on Rhumba Country. “When you scale back the chord progressions and get a good rhythm going\, the musicians have more freedom to play anything or nothing at all. There’s so much space everywhere\, and as a singer\, it allows me to be that lead instrument and weave in and out however I want.” At the same time\, LaFarge brought a more intense and focused rigor to his songwriting process. “I need to trust in what feels good to me\, but I also have to ask myself\, ‘Is the message coming through? Am I stimulating thought in a way that might shift someone’s perspective? Am I being honest in telling my story\, and am I doing it in love?’” he says.  \n\n\n\nReflecting on the origins of Rhumba Country\, LaFarge points to one of the most crucial revelations he experienced while farming: a newfound understanding of the uniquely human potential to be “conduits of continuous creation.” To that end\, his effort to provide listeners with “medicine for the soul” has led LaFarge toward a deeper level of dedication when it comes to nurturing his own spirit. “You have to live the life you’re singing in your songs—no matter what you’re going through\,” he says. “Everything will come out in your music whether you want it to or not. I’ve realized that the more I can pursue goodness and live in peace\, the more I can make the music I was put here to make.” And by living with intention and fully connecting with his truest purpose\, LaFarge might finally be ready to lay his head in a place he calls home. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT CICADA RHYTHM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen Cicada Rhythm hit the road in support of their 2015 debut\, they were a homespun\, stripped-down folk duo\, armed with songs that mixed acoustic instruments and soft dynamics with the intimate charm of two harmonized voices.  \n\n\n\nThree years later\, bandmates Andrea DeMarcus and Dave Kirslis have upsized their sound considerably with Everywhere I Go. Recorded in a string of studios across the southeast\, it’s a snapshot of a band on the move\, with new members filling their lineup and a louder set of influences propelling their sound forward. There are roots-rock tunes\, slow waltzes\, politically-minded lyrics\, front-porch folksongs and backwoods ballads\, all delivered by a group of road warriors who’ve cut their teeth not only in the writing room\, but onstage\, too.  \n\n\n\n“In the beginning\, we were two singer/songwriters making a living on $50 per show\,” says DeMarcus\, a Juilliard-trained bassist who met Kirslis — her bandmate and future husband — when he hopped off a freight train and landed in her Georgia hometown. The two quickly whipped up a musical chemistry rooted in the steady pluck of DeMarcus’ upright bass\, the rootsy punch of Kirslis’ guitar\, and the raw blend of their voices. As romance blossomed between the musicians\, so did a career. “We had to keep it a duo\,” DeMarcus remembers of their early days on the road\, “because we couldn’t afford to bring along anybody else. When we released our debut record\, we started touring with a drummer\, and the sound just evolved from there. We realized we needed to demand attention\, rather than waiting for people at the shows to shut up.” \n\n\n\nPeople did pay attention\, taking notice of Cicada Rhythm’s ability to merge both traditional and contemporary Americana sounds along with topical lyrics\, which often touched upon modern issues like environmentalism. Among the band’s biggest fans were members of two A-list Americana bands: Kenneth Pattengale\, best known as the spellbinding guitarist and harmony vocalist of the Milk Carton Kids\, and Oliver Wood\, lead singer and guitarist for the Wood Brothers. When it came time to record Cicada Rhythm’s newest batch of songs in 2017\, Pattengale and Wood shared production duties\, giving Everywhere I Go a broad\, diverse punch.  \n\n\n\nA sense of forward momentum sweeps its way throughout Everywhere I Go\, whose very title conjures up the image of a band in transit. Kicking off with “America’s Open Roads” and winding to a finish with the Bob Dylan-worthy “Back Home\,” it’s an album written during a time of travel\, of growth\, of being together. Like interstate poets\, DeMarcus and Kirslis write about the country unfolding outside their car window at highway speed\, spinning stories not only about the places they visit\, but personal and social struggles\, as well.  \n\n\n\nAn Appalachian-sounding anthem for the female empowerment movement\, “Do I Deserve It Yet” takes a look at the modern woman’s struggle in a man’s world as DeMarcus wails in the chorus\, “Won’t you tell me when I am enough? ‘Cause I can never tell.” “America’s Open Roads” resonates similarly in today’s climate of division and controversial leaders\, with the emotionally hard-hitting opening line\, “Every day starts with a terrible dream.” Although written outside of political context\, these songs took on new meanings once Cicada Rhythm began integrating them into their shows.  \n\n\n\n“We were touring up the East Coast one week after the election\, and the nation was visibly shook up\,” says Kirslis\, who shares vocal duties throughout the record. “Suddenly\, a lot of Andrea’s lyrics seemed to have double meanings. The song is about keeping roads open\, rather than build walls over them. As we began playing more and more new songs\, they began paralleling some things that were going on in the outside world.” \n\n\n\nFans of Cicada Rhythm’s debut will remember the socially-conscious “Do Not Destroy\,” an eco-friendly song that urged its listener to take care of the natural world. Much of Everywhere I Go follows in that song’s footsteps\, forming a bridge between the two records.  \n\n\n\n“We’re changing\, but we haven’t lost our sincerity\,” DeMarcus adds. “A lot of the songs are still political. They’re emotional. They’re raw\, which has always been an important part of our sound. We haven’t lost our identity; we’ve just grown around it.” \n\n\n\nProducers Pattengale and Wood assisted in that growth by beefing up the band’s sound with strings\, Hammond organ\, electric guitar\, and pedal steel. Working with the producers separately allowed Cicada Rhythm to revisit and revise a number of songs that had already become live staples. “You can’t underestimate the power of a fresh set of ears\,” DeMarcus says. “It’s helpful to know what someone else thinks your song can be\, particularly someone who hasn’t heard the song nightly for the past two months. A lot of the time\, collaboration is the reason something becomes better.” \n\n\n\nEmbracing Everywhere I Go as “a patchwork album\,” Cicada Rhythm tracked its 12 songs in recording studios\, living rooms\, and gospel churches throughout Tennessee and Georgia. Some songs were performed live in the studio and captured on analog tape\, while album highlights like “Even in the Shallows” were tracked more methodically. String sections were added — a nod to DeMarcus’ fondness for the Beatles\, whose own songs often made room for symphonic arrangements — without taking away from the band’s rustic charm. Together\, the album’s track list blends orchestral folk-pop and ramshackle roots-rock in equal numbers\, giving Cicada Rhythm more fuel for their music-filled travels.  \n\n\n\n“We named the album after a line in ‘America’s Open Roads\,’ but hopefully\, this album will be our ticket to everywhere we go\,” explains DeMarcus. “Wherever we are\, these songs will be with us.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

The Brooklyn-based band quickly became known for their transcendent harmonies\, serious musicianship and raucous live performance — a reputation that earned them their rabid fan base. It’s been three years since the band’s victorious Then Came The Morning was released. Produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner\, the album was nominated for an Americana Music Award. The band appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live\,” “Late Show With David Letterman\,” “Conan O’Brien\,” “CBS This Morning\,” “Later…with Jools Holland\,” and “The Late Late Show With James Corden” in support of the album. In the years since the release\, the band left their beloved adopted home of Brooklyn and moved to Nashville. Now\, The Lone Bellow is back with Walk Into A Storm\, which will be released Sept. 15 on Sony Music Masterworks. Walk Into A Storm was produced by legendary music producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton\, Sturgill Simpson\, and more) and features their lead single “Time’s Always Leaving.” The trio\, featuring Zach Williams (guitar/vocals)\, Kanene Donehey Pipkin (multi-instrumentalist)\, and Brian Elmquist (guitar)\, recorded this album in only seven days. The group’s first two albums graced the Billboard 200. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about The Lone Bellow: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT DAVID BROWN\n\n\n\nDavid Brown is a multi-instrumentalist\, storyteller\, and longtime member of Rising Appalachia\, where his guitar\, bass and banjo work have helped shape the band’s sound for over 12 years. Rooted in the traditions of folk music yet always pushing its edges\, David comes from a deeply musical family in southern Appalachia and carries a love for songs with a strong sense of place—melodies that feel woven into the land itself. His journey with music has taken him to 28 countries and iconic stages like Red Rocks and NPR’s Tiny Desk\, but at heart\, he remains a traveler\, always searching for the next song\, the next story\, the next spark of connection. \n\n\n\nThis past year\, he stepped away from the road to embark on a creative sabbatical\, writing new music with Duncan Wickel and lending his hands to recovery efforts in Asheville through a series of benefit concerts with Rising Appalachia. When he’s not on tour or immersed in the studio\, you can often find him chasing winter in the Elk Mountains\, carving through fresh snow\, and listening for the music that drifts between the trees. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocal 7th through 12th graders enrolled in TACAW’s Youth Art Pass program are eligible to receive two (2) free admission tickets: one (1) for them and one (1) for a guest. It also invites us to come together under the same roof and in a shared moment. In similar fashion\, John Craigie rallies a closeness around music anchored by his expressive and stirring songcraft\, emotionally charged vocals\, lively soundscapes\, and uncontainable spirit. The Portland\, OR-based singer\, songwriter\, and producer invites everyone into this space on his 2024 full-length album\, Pagan Church. Following tens of millions of streams\, sold out shows everywhere\, and praise from Rolling Stone and more\, he continues to captivate. \n\n\n\n“The music is always evolving and devolving with each new record\,” he observes. “With my last album Mermaid Salt\, I really wanted to explore the sound of isolation and solitude as everyone was heading inside. With this record\, I wanted to record the sound of everyone coming back out.” \n\n\n\nIn order to capture that\, he didn’t go about it alone… \n\n\n\nInstead\, he joined forces with some local friends. At the time\, TK & The Holy Know-Nothings booked a slew of outdoor gigs in Portland and they invited Craigie to sit in for a handful of shows. The musicians instinctively identified an unspoken\, yet seamless chemistry with each other. Joined by three of the five members\, Craigie cut “Laurie Rolled Me a J” and kickstarted the process. With the full band in tow\, they hunkered down in an old schoolhouse TK & The Holy Know-Nothings had converted into a de facto headquarters and studio\, and recorded the eleven tracks on Pagan Church. \n\n\n\n“At first\, I knew ‘Laurie Rolled Me a J’ would sound great with a band\, but we realized there was this chemistry between us\,” Craigie recalls. \n\n\n\nDuring this season\, Craigie listened to everyone from JJ Cale\, Michael Hurley\, and The Band to Donny Hathaway and Nina Simone. He also consumed music biographies and documentaries on the likes of Ani DiFranco\, John Coltrane\, The Velvet Underground\, and Neil Young. Now\, he introduces the album with “Where It’s From.” Dusty acoustic guitar underlines his warm delivery as he warns\, “Be careful with this feeling. You don’t know where it’s from.” Meanwhile\, he plugs in the electric guitar on the Southern-style boogie of “While I’m Down.” Bright organ wails over a palm-muted distorted riff as he urges\, “Come on and love me up while I’m down.” \n\n\n\nThen\, there’s “Good To Ya.” Setting the scene\, glowing keys give way to a head-nodding beat. He laments\, “Oh babe\, I was good to you\,” before a bluesy guitar solo practically leaves the fretboard in flames. The album concludes with the pensive and poetic title track “Pagan Church.” In between echoes of slide guitar\, he repeats\, “I sing a pagan song out in a pagan church.” \n\n\n\n“Taylor Kingman suggested the title Pagan Church to me\,” he reveals. “I liked the multiple meanings. The album cover shows all of us in front of Laurelthirst Public House in Portland\, which is an important gathering place for musicians in the area. It’s almost a church in a way. However\, the song has an entirely different meaning.” \n\n\n\nAn incredible journey has brought Craigie to this point. He has consistently packed venues across the country\, gracing bigger stages each time he rolls through town. His annual #KeepItWarm Tour has become a holiday tradition as it supports regional non-profits focused on fighting food insecurity with a donation of $1 from each ticket purchased. Showcasing another side of his voice\, he has recorded “Beatles Lonely” versions of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road\, recording these seminal albums live to sold out audiences\, and releasing them on vinyl for Record Store Day 2022 & 2023. Beyond touring with Langhorne Slim\, Brett Dennen\, and Bella White\, he has also sold out his annual river trip on the Tuolumne River\, just outside of Yosemite in California and graced the bills of Newport Folk Festival\, Pickathon\, Mariposa Folk Festival\, High Sierra Music Festival\, and many more. \n\n\n\nIn the end\, Craigie channels the power of community in Pagan Church. \n\n\n\nHe leaves off\, “I just hope you can hear the collaboration with this amazing band of musicians and hear the energy in the songs of people who are allowed to get out and do their art again in this chaotic world.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about John Craigie: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT GLEN PHILLIPS\n\n\n\nGenre: Singer/Songwriter \n\n\n\nDuring his years as lead singer and main songwriter of Toad the Wet Sprocket\, Glen Phillips helped to create the band’s elegant folk/pop sound with honest\, introspective lyrics that forged close bond with their fans. When Toad went on hiatus\, Glen launched a solo career with his album\, and stayed busy collaborating with other artists on various projects includingMutual Admiration Society\, with members of Nickel Creek and Remote Tree Children\, an experimental outing with John Morgan Askew.“Until recently\, I’ve seldom stayed in one place for very long\,” Phillips says\, explaining the genesis of his new album\, THERE IS SO MUCH HERE. “I was lucky during the COVID lockdown to move in with my girlfriend\, now wife\, and to be home for the longest stretchI’ve had since the birth of my daughter\, 20 years ago. I began noticing the little things. After a life of travel and seeking out peak experiences\, I began to appreciate sitting still\, watching the paint dry and loving it.“I’ve been playing a song writing game with Texas folk singer Matt The Electrician\, for about ten years. Every Friday\, he sends out a title. We have a week to write a song that includes it. The process allows me to write songs I wouldn’t write on my own. I’m always surprised at what comes out.”“When my friend John [Morgan Askew] invited me to come up to his studio and make music\, I said\, ‘Yes’\, as I collected a bunch of the new songs and headed up to Bocce Studios\, inVancouver\, WA. John invited drummer Ji Tanzer and bass player/multi-instrumentalist Dave Depper along. When we started playing\, I wasn’t sure we were aiming for\, but as the process unfolded\, the songs began to make sense together.”Phillips’ previous solo record\, SWALLOWED BY THE NEW\, was about grief\, a post-divorce outing while THERE IS SO MUCH HERE finds Phillips writing love songs again focusing on gratitude\,beauty and staying present. “With this batch of songs\, I noticed I was writing hopeful music again. I’d turned the corner and was more interested in curiosity and play than I was in gazing at my navel. I was finally in a state of being that wasn’t about grief and loss. Things felt doable and even exciting again.”“As I sat still during the lockdown\, I realized how much is always here–in the space around me\,in the sensations of my body\, in the sounds and smells and tastes and thoughts that emerge and drift away. It’s not a new concept\, but it is a novel experience when you’ve spent your life running from one thing to another.”Ultimately\, as Phillips reflects on the album\, he shares: “This is an album about showing up for what is and letting it be enough.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Glen Phillips: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open for Supper Club @ 5:45 pm / Supper Club served at 6:00 pm\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:30 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 18+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Their cover of “The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead” was a highlight of the soundtrack to the blockbuster film\, “Dumb and Dumber”\, while simultaneously reaching #4 on the US Top 100 album charts. All of their releases keep the same folk-hued\, alternative spirit of their early sound\, centering around the distinct baritone of frontman Brad Roberts and Ellen Reid’s folk-rock fusion. \n\n\n\nAfter a twenty-year hiatus\, the Crash Test Dummies reunited in 2018 for a two-week tour to celebrate their most successful album “God Shuffled His Feet”. The overwhelming reception to these shows has since led to continuous touring across two continents\, with sold-out shows across the US\, Canada\, the UK\, Germany\, Austria and the Netherlands. \n\n\n\n“Touring again was not something we’d planned on\, but surprisingly– at least to me – there are lots of people who many years later\, still want to come and hear us\,” says lead singer and principal songwriter Brad Roberts. “It’s humbling\, being in the confidence of so many people.” The band is returning to Europe and the UK in the fall of 2024 for an extensive tour before heading down under for sold-out shows in Australia and New Zealand in early 2025. \n\n\n\nThe dynamic and high-energy stage show features the band’s most iconic songs\, performed by original members Brad Roberts\, Ellen Reid\, Dan Roberts and Mitch Dorge. Joining them are long-standing guitarist Stuart Cameron and relative newcomer Leith Fleming-Smith\, Canada’s keyboard whiz-kid.  \n\n\n\n2025 will also see the band release a “Greatest Hits” double vinyl\, which includes their first two new songs in fifteen years – ‘Sacred Alphabet’ and ‘When First the Heart’ – along with and a live version of showstopper and fan favorite “Heart of Stone”. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Crash Test Dummies: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / YOUTUBE / TWITTER / TIK TOK \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW ONLY TICKETS \n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDoors open for Supper Club @ 5:45 pm / Supper Club served at 6:00 pm\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:30 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 18+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

It’s been a decade since the husband-and-wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson exploded out of Nashville with their multi-platinum mega-hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”\, and crowds remain hungry for more. The GRAMMY®-nominated duo has toured the world; won multiple awards; appeared on The Tonight Show\, Jimmy Kimmel Live\, NBC’s TODAY Show\, CBS This Morning\, as well as numerous primetime TV specials and awards shows; earned No. 1 records in three countries\, and even launched their own podcast. They’ve been praised as “remarkable” by Taste of Country\, “deeply personal and emotional” by Sounds Like Nashville\, and “vivacious” by Rolling Stone. And now\, after taking time out over the last few years to focus on family\, the pair are back on the scene in full force.  \n\n\n\n“Keifer and I really got back to our roots\,” says Shawna of this country music homecoming\, “But we’ve grown too\, and the music reflects all of that.” The duo’s new material promises all the hallmarks that made audiences fall for the Thompsons in the first place\, as well as showcasing everything that life\, touring and starting a family has taught them. \n\n\n\nThompson Square’s music has always been quintessentially grounded in their identity as a couple. Whether basking in the light of one another in the No. 1 smash\, “If I Didn’t Have You\,” or \n\n\n\nshocking the neighbors with flirty\, distracting thoughts in Top 10 hit “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About\,” Thompson Square’s openness with its audience has always made them one of the most intimate acts working today. \n\n\n\nAnd their new music is no exception. Each song tells a story of a life-lived romance that encapsulates both the dizzying highs and paralyzing lows of love and partnership. “We’ve started a family together\, we’ve lost parents together\,” explains Keifer\, with Shawna adding “This is real stuff.”  \n\n\n\nWith most recent release\, upbeat show-stopper “Without You\,” Keifer takes the lead\, lamenting over all he’d be (or wouldn’t be) in the absence of his loved one. Banjo-backed and laden with their refreshing\, husband and wife harmonies\, the tune was written by Tim Nichols\, Anthony Olympia\, and Brent Rupard. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Thompson Square: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / SPOTIFY \n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSEATED SHOW / 13+ (16 and under must be accompanied by a guardian)\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Dogs in a Pile\, an eclectic quintet\, has emerged as the heir apparent to the town’s rich musical legacy. Merging funk\, jazz\, and rock and roll with psychedelia\, the quintet presents a completely original vibe built on kaleidoscopic soundscapes eerily reminiscent of the days of yesteryear. \n\n\n\nThe Dogs employ a unified approach to performance and songwriting\, crafting aural mosaics through adept instrumentation and humble precocity. As avid storytellers\, they draw inspiration from personal experiences\, balancing life’s foibles with ever-present youthful sanguinity. \n\n\n\nDogs began when Philadelphia University of the Arts guitar gun-slinger Jimmy Law began playing with young Joe Babick (drums)\, a student at the Count Basie Theater program in Red Bank\, NJ.  Lightning struck when they were introduced to Berklee School of Music student and bass player Sam Lucid\, who immediately suggested fellow Berklee student and keyboard player Jeremy Kaplan. The addition of fellow Berklee student Brian Murray (guitar) in 2019 made for the quintessential final piece in the Dogs’ puzzle.  \n\n\n\nA string of successful local shows drove the development of a massive northeast fan base\, affectionately known as the Dog Pound. The band’s astronomical growth culminated in an epic\, sold-out performance at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park during the summer of 2021. Armed with a fresh batch of new material\, Dogs in a Pile is taking its perpetually evolving testament to the Great American Songbook on tour in 2022\, visiting plenty of new cities and spreading good music and good energy to good people along the way.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Dogs in a Pile: WEBSITE / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

And realizing that if I make something I truly relate with\, it’s going to resonate with other people that are going through the same struggles\,” Alex explains. \n\n\n\nWhile shaping Pocket Full of Dreams\, the interplay between energetic tour experiences and reflective studio sessions became a key influencer. Alex drew inspiration both from the vibrant energy at shows\, and from introspective moments away from the stage. He mentions\, “Touring provides inspiration\, but the quiet times let me truly connect with my experiences.” This balance sets the stage for Alex’s revelation on the album’s deeper themes: \n\n\n\n“This album was really about me getting back to making music for me and not just worrying about whether this will bump at a live show\,” admits Medellin.“While touring it’s hard to create without the intention or influence of performing\, so to have a break from live shows for a while really gave me a different perspective and the ability to draw on emotion\, rather than energy.” \n\n\n\nCollaborators on the album include Motifv\, Poldoore\, and Michal Menert\, all of whom have had a significant imprint on Late Night Radio’s recent works and tours. “Found (with Motifv)” weaves a compelling story of evolving dreams and life’s challenges. “On My Shoulder” delves deep into the internal conflicts and dilemmas dictating life choices\, while “Shining (with Poldoore)” stands as a beacon of positivity\, underscoring the unpredictability and beauty of life. Motifv joins Late Night Radio for the upcoming Pocket Full of Dreams Tourand Poldoore will make appearances at select dates this winter. These collaborations have not only enriched the album’s sonic tapestry but also deepened its narrative\, making every song a distinct chapter in a cohesive story. \n\n\n\n“This entire album feels very personal to me\, it’s hard to pick out a specific track as a favorite\,” Alex muses.“It’s really about my personal struggle with feeling ‘good enough’ and finding my place in a constantly changing environment. In that sense it’s more like releasing a private journal than an album to me.” \n\n\n\nMedellin’s life-long romance with music is evident in every track. Through the melodies and beats ofPocketFull of Dreams\, listeners will find a narrative rich in emotion\, experience\, and introspection\, inviting listeners to embark on an unparalleled musical journey–and perhaps one of their own self-discovery. \n\n\n\n“Dream big and don’t give up. We all go through periods of self-doubt\, but if you keep going there is always another peak after the valley\, no matter how far away it seems.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Late Night Radio: WEBSITE / YOUTUBE / INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK / SPOTIFY / TWITTER \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW @ 8:00 pm / DOORS @ 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nSTANDING ROOM SHOW / 21+\n\n\n\nALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL\n\n\n\nLimit of 4 tickets per purchaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented By: The Arts Campus At Willits

Each week the podcast features an in-depth interview with a fiction\, non-fiction\, essay\, or poetry writer. The show is equal parts investigation into the craft of writing and conversation about the topics of an author’s work. \n\n\n\nABOUT CARRIE CAROLYN COCO: MY FRIEND\, HER MURDER\, AND AN OBSESSION WITH THE UNTHINKABLE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn the night of September 28\, 2016\, twenty-five-year-old Carolyn Bush was brutally stabbed to death in her New York City apartment by her roommate Render Stetson-Shanahan\, leaving friends and family of both reeling. In life\, Carolyn was a gregarious\, smart-mouthed aspiring poet\, who had seemingly gotten along well with Render\, a reserved art handler. Where had it gone so terribly wrong? \n\n\n\n\n\nThis is the question that has plagued acclaimed author Sarah Gerard and driven her obsessive pursuit to understand this horrific tragedy. In Sarah’s exploration of Carolyn’s life and death\, she spent thousands of hours interviewing Carolyn’s and Render’s friends and family\, poring over court documents and news media\, reading obscure writings and internet posts\, and attending Carolyn’s memorials and Render’s trial. \n\n\n\nWhat emerged from Sarah’s relentless instinct to follow a story and its characters to their darkest ends is a book that is at once a striking homage to Carolyn’s life\, a chilling excavation of a brutal crime\, and a captivating whydunit with a shocking conclusion. \n\n\n\nABOUT SARAH GERARD \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSarah Gerard is the author of the essay collection Sunshine State\, a New York Times Critics’ and NPR Best Book of the Year\, a finalist for the Southern Book Prize\, and longlisted for the PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award; the novels True Love and Binary Star\, a finalist for the Los Angeles Times First Fiction Prize; a co-authored art book\, Recycle; and the chapbook The Butter House. Her new book of investigative journalism is called Carrie Carolyn Coco: My Friend\, Her Murder\, and an Obsession with the Unthinkable. Sarah’s short stories\, essays\, and interviews have appeared in The New York Times\, T Magazine\, Granta\, McSweeney’s\, The Believer\, Vice\, Electric Literature\, among other publications. She holds an MFA from The New School and is a graduate student in the criminal justice program at CU Denver\, studying gender-based violence. She’s a private investigator in Denver. \n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Sarah Gerard: WEBSITE \n\n\n\nABOUT MITZI RAPKIN \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMitzi Rapkin is the founder\, host and producer of the literary podcast\, “First Draft: A Dialogue on Writing\,” which features a new author interview each week. Lauren Frihauf Opens. \n\n\n\nABOUT MEGAN BURTT \n\n\n\nMegan Burtt has returned with Witness\, her first solo album since. The Colorado-based performer\, a past Kerrville NewFolk Competition winner who also performed with the all-redhead roots band Gingerbomb\, had been working on the project for years\, but hit delays with illness and false starts. She really began to unlock new levels in her songwriting when she decided to stop dancing around what she really wanted to say. “I discovered that’s a side of myself I like as a songwriter.\,” she says. “It’s become a sensibility that I know how to rest in.” \n\n\n\nThe results were a long time coming\, but they’re worth the wait. With unfailing honesty and vulnerability\, Burtt—who self-produced the project—wrestles with weighty topics like the burden of her own aspirations (“Drugstore Brand”)\, generational trauma (“Little Girls”)\, and the end of an important relationship (“Unfinished Business\,” “Good for You”). She also does it while mixing in doses of groove and pop smarts that make the lyrics hit even harder. Ultimately\, even though she addresses thorny topics\, there’s a sense of hope on Witness. “These songs are more real because hidden in them is the belief that there’s a silver lining\,” Burtt says. “I’m not ignorant to the shitstorm you have to endure to get there. I am a little jaded\, but I am really hopeful too. I enjoy the pursuit of it all.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Megan Burtt: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM \n\n\n\nABOUT Lauren Frihauf \n\n\n\nLauren Frihauf grew up on a 1300-acre farm an hour and a half outside of Denver\, CO. Alongside her homeschooling\, Lauren pursued her passion for music by taking singing and piano lessons from a young age. While the charm of farm life was undeniable\, the solitude that accompanied it weighed heavy at times. Because of this\, she was overjoyed to find a vibrant community at the School of Rock Aurora. Here\, her talents rapidly flourished as she began touring with the School of Rock AllStars in 2018. \n\n\n\nNot long after\, Lauren’s voice drew national attention on NBC’s “The Voice” Season 19\, under the mentorship of Gwen Stefani and John Legend\, where critics praised her unique vocal style and emotional depth. \n\n\n\nCut to today\, Lauren Frihauf has become a uniquely captivating figure in Denver’s music scene. Influenced by artists like Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote\, Joni Mitchell\, and Norah Jones\, Lauren blends her poetic storytelling with folk and neo-soul elements to create a distinctive and captivating sound experience. \n\n\n\nLauren’s recent accolades include being featured on NPR Music’s 2022 Tiny Desk ‘Top Shelf’\, performing at Dripping Springs Songwriter Festival 2023\, Panama City Songwriter’s Festival 2022\,2023\, placing top 3 in the Red Lodge songwriting competition 2023\, 2nd in the Al Johnson Performing Songwriter Contest 2023\, and becoming a finalist in the Grassy Hill Emerging Artist Showcase 2024. \n\n\n\nLearn more about Lauren Frihauf: WEBSITE / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM / TWITTER / YOUTUBE / SPOTIFY / TIKTOK \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\nVIEW CALENDAR\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocal 7th through 12th graders enrolled in TACAW’s Youth Art Pass program are eligible to receive two (2) free admission tickets: one (1) for them and one (1) for a guest.
